Very Irresponsible people and dodgy business, Please read to the end before trade with Alpine Spas. I bought a second hand Summit SPA package, 3 months old with 5 years warranty which worked fine but broke down after a week. I contacted Alpine Spas to fix it but they said based on our terms and conditions “The warranty is not transferable. “ And I should pay for fixing they sent  me a dodgy external spa technician who charged me $2000 and refuse to give me a letter for insurance. My very expensive content insurance refused to pay me because they said your spa is still under warranty. I contacted my lawyer, my lawyer said Alpine Spas cannot Contract out of the Consumer guarantees act. 

I explained this to “Angela Player “ -manager at Alpine Spas- then she emailed the following “there is no manufacturer’s warranty on our spas. The warranty that is provided with the spa is an Alpine Spas warranty. The warranty is non transferable under our terms and conditions. If our customer sells the spa (no matter how old the spa is) the sale is between a consumer to a consumer. This means the sale is a private sale. In these cases neither the Fair Trading Act nor the Consumer Guarantees Act applies.”
My lawyer told me you can take them to court and you will definitely win but it takes a lot of time and money so I may not continue to fight.  
My advice however for new buyer,  Alpine spa products are very over priced and not long lasting and Alpine spa people only good to you before the trade so you need a very good written warranty before pay them. You also should consider you may have to sell the spa in future so the new buyers also need the warranty so PLEASE read  the terms and conditions carefully and possibly asked your lawyer to modify unfair terms before pay anything. Based on the current term and conditions you don't have warranty anyway.  It would much better to pay several hundreds to a lawyer than pay $4000 for jets or structure failure.

Not very impressed with the service, I think when they say "Cheap pools" they actually mean "cheap made pools" will look elsewhere.
