All too often those of us who received faultless service fail to give credit where credit is due. We only hear of the bad experiences. For this reason I give the following review. From the first phone call to AP in Brisbane the service was excellent. They were the only company of about five contacted that came out and did an actual survey of the goods to be moved. They provided a quote and this was the price we paid. There was no sudden increase in costs as can sometimes happen. The two persons that packed the goods for shipping did an excellent job and I can say that nothing arrived broken. The only two dishes which were broken were packed by us! Should have left those to the professionals! The three lads that packed the two containers worked hard all day and did a wonderful job. A job very well done. The goods arrived on the day that was initial given. No delay was experienced. The two containers arrived separately from Brighton and both crews worked well to unload the goods. They took care in placing the goods in the rooms required. Nothing was damaged. All in all, it was as pleasant an experience as one could expect having moved from inter-state. We used AP on the recommendation of my son who had made the move four years previously. We in turn would recommend AP to anyone having to move. Thanks for a job well done.

Allied Pickfords in Hobart employ dirty looking common uncaring and uneducated rubbish low life "ex cons" to do their groundwork! My belongings were severely damaged by them while putting them into my new home in Lindisfarne! I offered easier access through the back door but the two "workers" refused! My three seater sofa lounge was ripped by them trying to push it through the front door space. My wooden dining table was chipped and while in the kitchen they leaned my large fridge into the corner of my kitchen bench causing a dent into the fridge door! Aorher damage appears to be caused to my wooden tv cabinet too. A bunch of low lives and rubbish the Allied Pickfords group are in Hobart and I stongly advice that you do not trust or use them under any circumstances! Let them go out of business! We had a terrible experience with Allied Pickfords and would never recommend their services. Their office staff were good and survey agent professional, and on the ground crew were pleasant enough people but that's the only positive feedback we can give them. On receiving our goods interstate there were boxes that looked crushed, our new tv had the screen smashed and several pieces of furniture (including our baby's mattress) were soiled, just to mention a few things. The owner of Allied Pickfords Hobart openly admitted over the phone that the reason our furniture was dirty was probably because Allied Pickfords never clean the furniture pads, and that we couldn't expect them to do such a thing because it would cost too much and no one would take responsibility for it since they are shared with all the branches. He then refused to pay a mere $90 cleaning bill for our dining chairs and cot mattress (the worst affected pieces) and replied in writing suggesting that we must have put dirt all over our own things. Ridiculous. We were also told at our initial survey that we should not pack our paintings and canvases because the crew would do that for us. On delivery we saw that they had been transported loose with no boxes or coverings at all. These are just a couple of examples of the awful service we received from "the careful movers". We have moved interstate 3 times and locally 10 times and never experienced damages and carelessness like what we received from Allied Pickfords. We expected some understanding and acknowledgement of our concerns, but we received a condescending phone call from the Hobart owner and an email that was offensive and accusatory toward us. An awful, awful experience thanks to the condition our items were received in and the incredibly disrespectful manner our complaints were (not) dealt with by the Hobart owner.

I too had the worst possible experience with these idiots a few years ago, when they moved me. They damaged multiple things due to packing heavy metal items on top of wooden furniture without any, or with inadequate padding. They then said that they have no responsibility just because I didn't insure. Well you can't insure against STUPIDITY, nor can you excuse STUPIDITY. The silver lining for me is that I've now just recently saved the 5th person that was going to use them from the grief and from their arrogant and abusive attitude. That's 5 moves that they have lost, yes made no money from when they were going to be contracted. Damn idiots like these guys need to be exposed to save innocent people from grief.
