The funeral venue was good but please DO NOT sign up their catering! It was terrible! Not worth the money. Only one person serving & busy in and out of kitchen looking exhausted & angry. Our guests didn’t have enough food and many who arrived last didn’t get to eat any. I asked to top up another plate of spring rolls. He charged me another $125 for 60 mini spring rolls! Felt scammed!
My grandfather, who fought in world war II, was buried here in 2001. Last year, my grandmother was passing away, her dying wish was to have his ashes brought down and buried with her here in Melbourne. When we went to organise this, we were told that in 2006 they dug up my grandfather's ashes, along with many other family's loved ones ashes, and relocated them elsewhere in the park, without our permission, and they told us that when this happened, they must have lost my grandfather's ashes, because they are nowhere to be found now!! Their solution.... To send us a box of dirt from the area. Utterly insulting. Don't trust this place with your loved ones remains.
We thought Allambe memorial park was such an amazing beautiful place for our fathers memorial.nWe found the staff working at Allambe so kind and just lovely people. Sending a big thank you to all the staff and especially Donna.nnThere is a lovely little flower shop on site with beautiful arrangement and flowers.nnWe also liked that our fathers ashes will be there for life and not just 70 years like most other places.
My wife and I were disappointed with the alleged arbitrary and unyielding attitude, of one of the senior advisors at Allambe Memorial Park, Nerang, when we raised the issue about our unsatisfactory small and unsightly headstone memorial being jammed between two larger headstones, with that senior team advisor.nnWe were quoted charges for them to remedy the issue , but Allambe's charges for work to be carried out are, in our view, astronomical, with little semblance to actual remedial stone work costs in the community. Money gouging appears obvious.nnIn the end, the team advisor did not even return our written communications with Allambe. We also stated that we wanted to purchase a new memorial plot, but the senior team member did not even accommodate our offer of inquiry to purchase another memorial site inquiry either.nnWould you conduct a business like Allambe does?nnPeternHope Island.
Attended a funeral service this week and visited the CAFE after a 50 kilometre drive. Was told “WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH”. I find this this attitude NOTHING LESS THAN BULLYING. No way was I was being coerced into using a card for a cup of coffee.nMost people attending funerals are elderly and submissive and bow to the attitude of rudeness and bullying. I found the attitude disgraceful.nDON’T PATRONISE THE CAFE AT ALLAMBIE GARDENS.
