The whole experience with maternity, from pre care through the birth and follow up support has been amazing. The staff all seem to genuinely care on a personal level about everyone in their care, all of the time, even when the ward is busy. The support was excellent, staff provided ongoing reassurance and advice, food and facilities were nice, and partner was able to board in the room. The outcome for my baby was completely positive. Thanks to everyone in the mat ward!!
Hello sir I am balram yadav from india , i want to work in your hospital . I am a ot technician . Experience: 2 year laparoscopy, gynae, general surgery .
Everybody was amazing from start to finish. I’m so thankful and grateful for their beautiful care and medicine.
During my recent visit/stayover, I can say that all the staff who looked after me were 100% professional in their jobs, they were all kind and some made me laugh during painful times. I am very thankful to have been cared for really well. If I ever end up there again, I hope to see you all again. Great job Alice Springs Hospital
Best hospital ever. The staff here are all so caring and friendly. They work fast and hard. I received excellent care from the nurses and doctors after I had a freak accident. Thank you to all the staff at Alice hospital.
Thanks for the great assistance by Dr Fergus in ED and the surgical team who helped me out with an infected abscess while travelling through the NT. They managed to fit me in on the surgical list at late notice so my issues could be sorted
While on holidays in the Northern Territory I got quite ill. So I went to the Alice Springs Hospital Emergency Dept. Within a few minutes of walking into Emergency with an unknown illness I was greeted by a nurse and I described the nature of my illness, the nurse did a couple of quick tests and she noticed some concerning symptoms. I had an X-Ray and at it was at this point I was advised that I had fluid in my lungs and that I may have pneumonia. I was advised I should stay in hospital and I spent the next 3 days at the Alice Springs Hospital. In Melbourne I work with people with disabilities and I regularly take people to the hospital. So going to hospital as a patient I couldn't help but compare my personal experience with my professional experience of attending a hospital. I was really impressed with how well I was looked after by all the staff. I was always informed of all the procedures, the results and my options. The staff were a lovely mixture of professionalism and personal and friendly. I always felt that I was getting the best treatment. Most of the staff come from somewhere else, mostly interstate but also a few new arrivals from overseas. I started to build a theory as to why the staff were so warm, friendly and helpful. In my opinion when people such as the staff at this hospital are away from their families for a long time and they probably don't know many local people they build a stronger bond with their work mates. It certainly came across this way to me. The staff all seemed to work really well with each other and this positive outlook reflected in the way they treated their patients. When I was discharged I was given excellent advice on maintaining and improving my condition, along with detailed discharge papers that was useful for my doctor at home. So yes a 5 star experience from me!!
Midwife's are awesome and very helpful, social worker that came to visit however was not, she was rude and manipulative to my wife and spoke to her in a bias fashion whilst I was asleep and didn't even wake me to include me in the conversation of our child...I hope you see this lady hospitals workers, awesome!! Social worker that came to visit us, not!!
Had a amazing time here giving birth to our daughter! The staff are wonderful, professional and supportive. Very comfortable delivery suites, spacious with big water baths. Post birth maternity stay was incredibly special and can't thank the staff enough! Rooms that may accommodate partner boarding is a huge blessing and we felt so spoiled at this special time of starting our new family. Cannot speak highly enough of the team and facilities and so glad we chose to birth in the Alice - ASP you rock bigtime - forever grateful.
No one expects to have to visit the Emergency Department of the local Hospital on holidays, but this is what I had to do for a potential health issue. I have to say that I was amazed at the modern facilities at the ASP and the professional attitude of the medical staff who attended to me. Thankfully, after thorough tests and assessment, I didn't have a health issue but it was wonderful to have the reassurance of the competent medical practitioners.
