Story

Boasting ‘The Best Seat on the Beach', the Alex Surf Club continues to set the standard for Surf Clubs around the country. Voted the Best Surf Club in Queensland, and the Best Supporter's Club in QLD, 6 times. Alex is a fantastic place for locals and visitors to the Sunshine Coast and our Member benefits just keep getting better.

As an employer of over 80 locals, and a tireless supporter of local community groups and charities, the Alex Surf Club makes a huge contribution to the lives of thousands of people – here on the Sunshine Coast and beyond. We like the surf club. It's a bit smaller with friendly staff and the meals we have had as always been good. Not so busy as Mooloolaba and they have happy hour and beer specials.

Good simple food done well. Crispy salmon with a warm salad was superb. Others at the table also enjoyed their meals.
Good location. Food was reasonably priced. Head & shoulders over the other cafes across the road because it's on the beach overlooking the ocean. And you can take your dogs
Great meals and atmosphere with friendly staff. Great view of the beach. It is recommended to make a booking to secure a table in the restaurant as it does get quite busy.
The quantity and quality of food and beverage was not of standard that I would expect of a community club.
Service great and friendly, really disappointed with the menu. We thought we would surely get a great choice of seafood but other than a couple of prawn items and 1 fish item no shellfish not even oysters. Such a disappointment wouldn't really bother recommending the venue. View is nice for some tablws
The buff bar is awesome. Great views. There should be more of this on the coast. Other surf clubs should follow
Down on floor level at the beach end has an awesome vibe at the bar. Upstairs is too busy and too bright for me. Nice place.
