We are proud to be one of Melbourne’s only Social Dance Studios that caters exclusively to adults learning to dance Ballroom, Latin & Street Latin dancing.

Story

In Spanish, Alegria simply means happiness, joy, gladness, contentment & satisfaction.

At Alegria Dance Centre, our core principle is exactly that; to provide our clients with a friendly and non intimidating environment that promotes feelings of happiness and wellness through experiencing the joy of dance.

Alegria Dance Centre specialises in all aspects of Latin American, Ballroom, New Vogue and Street Latin dancing.

I’ve just finished my first lesson at Alegria Dance Centre. Having previously been taught by a high profile dancer who is not teaching in 2015, I had been looking for quite a while, trying to find a dancer and studio that would provide me with the style of tuition in Latin dance that suited me.

Then I found Fiona Meade at Alegria, a great dancer who is completely in sync with how I want to learn. The first lesson was great and I recommend Alegia Fiona and Owner Justin to all young or old

I joined Alegria Dance Centre to learn wedding dance with my fiancé and I am truly pleasured with the dance lessons I was taught by Justin. He created friendly environment in the dance sessions. It was an overwhelming experience to learn wedding dance from Alegria Dance Centre. I would like to thank Alegria Dance Centre for making my wedding dance the most beautiful moment for me which I cherished the most.
