Albert Park Community Playground

Located just opposite Armstrong Street, near the Western Bike Path in Albert Park, this is an amazing and very unique kids playground built in 1993 by some 300 local community volunteers and other Melbournians. After considerable planning, construction of the playground took five-days and the event was even catered for.

Just have a look at my photos here to see how fantastic this playground really is. It's well shaded and as well as the usual slides and swings, this playground has extensive wooden platforms, turret, bridges and a fort, as well as cubby holes. It's a fantastic kids playground and picnic area.
