Whilst the food was cooked well, it wasn't flavoursome like most other Chinese takeaways are special fried rice had barely any taste, not even the taste of a Peanut or vegetable oil nor contained anything overly special - 3 shrimp, a tablespoon of bbq pork and a lot of ham. The quantities were gerat for the price but will not be back as a result of lack of flavour.
If three and a half stars existed I’d be giving them that. It’s just above average. Nothing really extraordinary the food was good portions, a nice price, quickly made, and friendly and nice service. The batter is very salty, and the sauces lack consistency/a little flavour. The special fried rice was particularly disappointing. Would I eat it again, maybe? Probably purely out of how close it is to home
In my opinion, the Albany Court Chinese Restaurant just doesn't get the recognition it truly deserves for the consistently good quality, tastebud tantelising food and friendly service they have been providing to the Albany Creek locals for as long as I can remember. We have been coming here for nearly 20 years and have honestly never had a bad meal. Hint: Their Salt and Pepper King Prawns are absolutely fantastic. Enjoy!
Honey king prawns are not as good as usual, other dishes were great.
Just wanted a Shandy but substitute the sweet n sour pork for Boneless lemon chicken. I would of been happy to pay a little extra for the chicken but told flat out no. Having worked in a Chinese restaurant and ordered this from several restaurants over Brisbane with no problem as it really isn't hard to make the substitute. Will not be returning.
The food is nice and usually hot. Counter staff cannot be trusted. My husband made an order and the food was Luke warm. Food should have been hot after waiting 25min. After talking to the manager. We have come to the conclusion that the counter staff left my husband waiting while our food was going cold. They weren't busy and our assumption is they didn't like the look of him. Check your food before walking out.
Unreal meals, very much taste and value for money!!!!!
We've been going here for 27 years but I must say its just not great anymore. We thought this the last few times unfortunately. I think its time to change. The fried rice was very gluggy and had no flavour. Has it changed ownership?
Civilized & calm. Accepted naturally. Credit & cards.
Had a “chef recommended” dish. Szechuan prawns, unfortunately the prawns had not been cooked in the sauce and were quite tasteless. Lots of onions to top up the dish, won’t be getting takeaway from here again. Previous bad experience but decided to give them another go - bad move
