Firstly amazing receptionist, she was so happy polite and helpful a rare find these days. The room was ok, nothing bad nothing amazing, unfortunately there was a disgusting smell in our room all night, sometimes sewer smell sometimes headache inducing disinfectant smell, way too strong what ever they're using. Good for the money I'd say if they can sort out the smell.
Location was excellent as we were heading off on a cruise. Rooms were a little small and a little outdated but overall were clean and tidy. It was great for a short stay. Parking was almost non-existent so if taking your car arrive early as first in best dressed. Its about two blocks from the river cats so easily walking distance to get into the city. A short walk to Portside shops as well for good restaurants and Woolworths.
Great motel for a couple of nights. Short walk to plenty of restaurants and close to the city cat wharfe. Wayne the manager was very obliging and did everything to help with an early check-in after a really early flight. Won't hesitate to stay here again.Rooms: 4/5
If I could score a zero I 10000% would! Room smelt like a public urinal, cutlery supplied was dirty, and the worst part... as I went to bed there was a roach on the pillow!!!!!! I was so disgusted I left at 3am. I messaged the next day amd got a random excuse about covid! Didn't care at all!didn't respond to any further communication. If you like wasting almost $200 then book here or spend less and get a better experience ANYWHERE ELSE. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
We needed somewhere to stay for one night before flying back to NZ, right from my initial enquiry we were so well looked after by Wayne, I really appreciate good communication and efficiency and Wayne made our booking process easy, provided a portacot for us, text me all the details on how to check in the day prior and provided us with everything we needed to ensure we were comfortable with the baby. It was the end of our first international trip with our first baby and I was just so appreciative of how easy it all was, thank you Wayne, you do a great job.
Not even close to a "4 star" hotel I wouldn't give it 3. The room is small and ratty, the television is an antique with no USB or HDMI. One night an insect crawled over me I think it was a cockroach, The hallways stink like cigarettes. The wifi completely died one night and barely worked the others. Whoever works the desk leaves about 11am so if you have any problem at all like wifi dying there is absolutely no one to help you with anything. I left a pair of shoes there and the manager refused to post them admitting the reason was "I'd be spending an hour a day at the post office". You can do better.

Have used this place several times before early morning flights back to NewZealand rooms are on smallish side but beautifully set out .great bathrooms very quiet but perfect for quick access to airport.only complaint the overwhelming smell of the room freshener bit overpowering .open windows tones it down quickly .Rooms: 4/5
Very small room for $300 a night. We only paid half price lucky. Room was clean apart from 2 hairs on the bed that were not mine.
Wayne the Manager was quite nice to deal with but we felt things need to be stepped up. We sat on the bed in our room and the wheel under the bed snapped off. Then after it had been repaired, we returned to our room and noticed a wheel from the other bed was missing??? This also happened to our friends in their room! The whole room in general needs to be cleaned better and a funky smell was coming out of the air-conditioner! When we were leaving we overheard someone else complaining about the cleanliness.
