Hands down best airport lounge I’ve been! Amazing areas to relax, work, eat. Plus absolutely great personnel and quality of food and drinks! This man here one the picture is the best, serving freshly made lobster for dinner with a huge smile! Just 5*
Very nice lounge. Good food, wine, beer, and a short list of cocktails at the bar. Ample seating of different types. Clean. Great view of airport operations. If you have access this is a good benefit of flying Air New Zealand. Recommended.
It has a great view, but the thing is, you can get that for free. It has pretty great coffee, but you can also get that from Strata Lounge, which is a lot cheaper than a business-class flight. So far, I've been to ten lounges using my Dragon Pass. It really needs fresh food options to make it anywhere above average. Honestly, I think I prefer to fly Premium Economy at least from AKL on Air NZ since you get the same priority check-in and boarding the same in-flight food, and with a lounge pass like Priority or Dragon, you can get just as good of food and drink. If you want the view you leave a bit earlier, you get the view anywhere to the gate and in the main area.
Crowded, not great air flow... for a flagship lounge this is quite a disappointment. In contrast, the public areas of the airport itself is beautiful. I walked out of here within five minutes and just spent my time at Wondertree restaurant in the terminal
This is a stunning lounge with many places sit and watch the planes. Was able to use this while traveling on United Polaris but is also available for star alliance gold members and other airlines as well. The food is yummy and the showers are really good. Great place to relax before a long flight. The space is pretty huge with multiple seating options. Staff are lovely and friendly. Hope to come back again in the future.
Great hosts, a generous amount and variety of seating including napping lounges, delicious food and occasionally they even fire up an indoor grill to make special dishes as you watch these have always been extra delicious. A wonderful coffee bar / regular bar, and the ability to order coffee drinks through their app and be alerted when yours is ready. There are showers available. The bathroom as well as everything else has always been incredibly clean, with hand cream available as well as soap. This is a wonderful place to wait for your flight.
The main problem with this lounge is the capacity which is never enough to handle amount of people, resulting in really dreadful experience when you cannot find any place to sit especially if you’re travelling in group. I don’t understand how Air New Zealand cannot do the simple maths with all the flights depending at the same time that they need to expand this place. For the main biggest airport in country supposed to represent the airline it’s really bad experience for everyone. Staff is friendly and compensating the experience with their smiles and trying to be accommodating but it’s not enough. The lounge itself is otherwise modern and fresh. Food and drinks selection is quite decent, just nowhere to sit and eat.
ANZ domestic lounge is better. Air New Zealand needs to take a leaf out of Singapore Airlines book when it comes to lounges as they are an authentic 5 star A grade player - there is an array of hot food selection, savory and sweet options, and the layout of the lounges are more open and conducive to relaxing. ANZ will always have just one viand meat hot food then veggies but that's it. Most of the time, its curries. What happened to creativity ANZ? I will show you a picture of Singapore Airline lounge when I had a stopover in Singapore, they are truly world class.
I travel extensively and stop in at least 50 lounges a year, US, Europe, many in Asia and of course down under. This lounge provides excellent food, even freshly grilled salmon better than most the restaurants if I may so, chef’s name is Paras if I heard correctly. Lounge is very clean and spacious, and staff very courteous.
Well the Air NZ lounge in Auckland is OK. But only OK... Given that this should be the premier lounge for the airline, it is too small and was very crowded this morning. Food is always good and great to have a coffee but it was a long wait. I hope you can build something much bigger and more expansive. In comparison, the lounge in Sydney is fantastic and does not feel cramped in.
