The hype around these croissants is no joke! Delicious and light with enough flavour these croissants blew me away. The staff were prompt and kind and while there’s no seating there. I cannot recommend this place enough and the croissants hold up even if you get them taken away.
Highly recommend visiting one of Agathè Patisserie locations. I frequent the South Melbourne market often and the lines can be quite daunting.. The lovely staff move through SUPER QUICK! Everything is delicious, but I recommend trying the simple yet PERFECTLY balanced moist lemon tea cake. It is divine. The cake melts in your mouth and has the perfect amount of tang. They also have a selection of special seasonal desserts and tarts that are very hard to pass up!
Located within South Melbourne market, you must definitely come to this bakery as their croissant is so delicious There’s usually a queue, but service is quick so you don’t have to wait long, plus you can use that time to watch the baking process. I tried their pandan croissant before and came back again and it’s sold out! It’s very popular. I was recommended to try their Christmas special - Gingerbread croissant, and it did not disappoint. Everything looks so delicious but there is only so much you can fit into your tummy.
Absolute pastry perfection. I’m my view these are vastly superior to Lune croissants. Texturally perfect and visually stunning. Cannot fault their deliciousness, the line is well justified. I thoroughly enjoyed them all and sure they are on the pricey side but for artisan delights that take me straight to the streets of Paris you can quite frankly take all my money
It was crispy and delicious, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the wait personally I would prefer Lune, which I believe it lives up to the hype. A lot of items were also sold out, but they would replenish later so it’s a bit of luck too. It was sad to see the customer before you bought all the Pandan croissants.
Agathé is located within the South Melbourne market along the Central isle. Serving delicious pastry that is made fresh daily. Be prepare for a short queue, it does not take long. Staff were friendly. Agathé is most popular for their Pandan croissant and Pandan flam, it is absolutely delicious. After buying you can take a seat beside the bakery to enjoy your lovely pastry. Payment accepted are cash and cards. Highly recommended
My most favourite croissant shop in Melbourne. I always go there every 2weeks? Cuz I live far away from south Melbourne. If I live in South Melbourne , I think I would go and grab Agathe every day Nothing too much to talk about their quality of pastries : My most favourite croissants are earl grey seasonal, chocolate chip and canele. The most important reason I love their croissants is because of the sweetness of their pastries, not over sweet compare to Lxxx Croissanterie.
Such a nice little bakery. We got 3 croissants between two people. The croissants were more on the buttery side which is delicious but can be a bit overwhelming. I really love the idea of an almond & chocolate croissant because those are my top two orders. I also really appreciate Asian flavours so the pandan flan was an excellent choice. Wish I could go back for more!
Was told that i shouldn’t and cannot miss this out on my itinerary and I’m glad I didn’t! The pastries were amazing! There are some special creations like the pandan croissant and yam pastries and they were SO good. Just be sure to arrive early as the queue can get pretty crazy!
After hearing about it from many of them, eventually I was able to witness what the craze was about. A definitely must try for people who have a sweet tooth. Also have less sweet options as well. Almond croissant was the best which I liked. Pandan croissant and Kouign-amann was something new I tried and loved them as well. There is always a queue for it, would say worth the wait .
