Cake World

Horrible experience at Cake World, Box Hill Centro. This was from November 2012. I had booked a cake through a Scoopon deal for my son's birthday. After confirming twice, when I arrived on the day to collect the cake, I found out that my order was "missing" and that the staff at the shop could not find any such order from me. I was about 2 hours away from the birthday celebrations and my nervousness was shooting off the scale. After about 30 minutes of heart-wrenching suspense where the staff called up someone on the phone multiple times, they finally gave me someone else's cake while still maintaining that they did not have an order from me. The quality of the cake I finally got was not bad, but the customer service had left a very bad taste. I don't think I will be going back to them in a hurry soon.
