Our favourite restaurant in all of Melbourne. It’s definitely not a flash place but the food is authentic and amazing. They offer lots of vegetarian or meat options as well as Ethiopian beers. The staff are helpful and friendly. We happened to turn up on an afternoon where they had a special feast including raw lamb. It was great to be included and to try something totally different. I know this place won’t be for everyone but we love it.
Great authentic food. My first time eating Ethiopian cuisine was at this place and definitely would come back. I've only tried the Key Wat like a beef stew which was amazing, full of flavour and will have to come back to try the rest of the menu. Good location as well, close to the station. Really liked the experience of not using cutlery and great if you want to try something different.
Been eating here for years. Even though I moved away, when I come to Melbourne to visit I always stop here for a feed. Food is great and the vibe is very casual. Don't expect fancy, but expect good value.
I spent one of the most amazing time and experienced African cuisine like I had never before. The traditional Ethiopian cuisine was mouthwatering and delicious. The staff were warm welcoming and the service was great. I highly recommend it!
Casual spot for a tasty and cheap dinner in Footscray. For veg, the misir wot was unbelievable - amazing flavours from the berbere so highly recommend. If looking for a brew, the beers are at country prices at $5 a pop.
Great value drinks and all the meals are twelve dollars. A shot of Johnny Walker double black or a Chivas for five dollars!!!! Meet you there. A bargain and good fun.
We ordered the $16 banquet for 7 and zil zil beef strips. Everyone was rather well fed, +10 stamina gained. Would reccomend!
