Worst nightmare! I have been wearing braces for more than 5 years from advanced orthodontics. This is my 6th year and I don't know when its going to finish. I still got the overbite and gaps between by teeth. Different doctors appeared without notice instead of Dr Hall during 5 years. And they put their fingers in to my mouth for two minutes, left me with their assistants and told me to come after 2 months. After 5 years Dr hall disappeared and a new doctor came and said its not going to happen quick! Well its more than 5 years anyway. During my very first consultation with them they had a different attitude, when I asked how long all this going to take they said minimum 2 years and maximum 4 years. Now its my 6th year with braces on  and they are telling me its not going to happen quick! I paid $ 7690 its all wasted plus my time. I had a plan to move to Tasmania after 5 years but I got to change all my plans because of them. After 5 years they wanted to take my braces off regardless of gaps between my teeth and overbite. They didn't care much. I would never recommend Advanced Orthodontics to anyone!

Very disappointed. Me and my 3 siblings have all had braces done here a few years back. I have been wearing all my retainers that I have been supposed to but yet some of my teeth have started to move and are becoming very crooked. I understand that your teeth never stop moving but when I came to see the Orthodontist and told them about my issue they didn't seem to care and said I need braces yet again!!!! 
They gave me a quote which was very expensive and with no discount or anything. I will not be coming back here or recommending this Orthodontist to anyone.

My third child is about to get braces with Dr Hall and his team. The service is amazing. There is no need for a waiting room because we have never had to wait more than 3mins and the entire team is always pleasant and understanding. My children's smiles are spectacular. When child 1 had a slight relapse (I am very picky) Dr. Hall offered to fix it at no charge. I am sure there are cheaper alternatives, but we have committed to many years of orthodontic work and good service is really important.

Dr Hall is very cautious......particularly with young clients. His first question to me was why my then very young daughter needed braces.......she was 5....we discussed her bite as her lower jaw jutted over her upper teeth and he put a long term plan into place......xreays to watch her bone growth and a little later braces to correct her bite as the teeth grew and her bones-jaw grew.......the difference for my girl was significant .......fast forward to 12 and her second braces with her adult teeth and I  am a very happy parent......my girls teeth are looking great her underbite is well under control and more than anything I appreciate the fact that Dr Hall made the effort to question me about why braces were necessary before just nodding and agreeing. If you want someone to tell you exactly how it is and appreciate blunt straight talk he is definitely your man......

I'm a very over cautious person when making big decisions, so I've had consultations with orthodontists all over Melbourne.
My experience with Dr Hall at Advanced Orthodontics was by far the worst experience I have had.

The reason I sought an opinion with Advanced Orthodontics is because from their website they seem to offer over 6 different options. I was hoping they could give me an extensive range of options.

Instead Dr Hall took a quick look at my teeth an concluded that I would need traditional fixed braces for 2 years.

Bear in mind my ortho case is very mild, I had treatment as a teenager which has relapsed slightly leaving my front teeth slightly crooked.

Dr Hall took no time at all to even mention any alternative options, never mind the different outcomes outcomes, risks, costs etc with me.

Seeing this practice was not only a waste of my time, but also an expensive mistake, $100 later I was left with the one option that I do not want as an adult - fixed braces.

I contacted the practice directly to air my concerns but all they could do was offer me was an appointment with a different orthodontist to come back and do what should have been done in the first appointment.
I declined as I wouldn't want to continue my treatment with the practice after such a poor experience.

So many other practices in Melbourne offer free consultations, and they spent much more time with me discussing my options and concerns.

Also, funnily enough, upon coming here to write this review I found a very similar complaint to mine where the practice promised to address these concerns 4 months ago.......
