Plenty of animals to see and enjoy. Coffee shop had good options however, a bit pricey.nThe zoo itself is well maintained.nThe parking can be quite a challenging, be prepared.nMoreover, is a small zoo, you can do the park in 2-3 hours. When I went it had some pathways under maintenance which made a little bit challenging moving around.nOverall, I recommend if you enjoy being and learning about animals.
Adelaide Zoo is a lovely place to visit. The giant pandas were the highlight-such a special experience to see them up close.nnThe whole zoo is well designed, with beautiful enclosures and easy to follow paths. The mix of nature and architecture makes it a relaxing and enjoyable day out for all ages.
What a beautiful zoo. The gardens are fantastic with incredible Morton Bay Figs and cultivated vegetation to suit the various exhibits. Absolutely love the Tamarind walkway, a pity that the other ones were not being used. Now I'm really looking forward to Monarto Zoo tomorrow?
This review is long, long overdue, but it's worth it. I first visited Adelaide back in 2014, and one of the highlights of my trip was the zoo. My best friend took me there for the day, and it was well worth the time and price. The zoo seemed well run, and had a large variety of animals to see. It was a good day.
This is a zoo that you must visit if you like to see the giant pandas, Xing Qiu and Yi Lan. During our visit, Xing Qiu was sleeping so we only saw Yi Lan. Nevertheless, it was enough to make the trip worthwhile. As a state zoo, the zoo was in fairly good condition. All animals were well looked after. Some enclosures were empty. Perhaps they were short of animals to put on display. I like that the zoo has multiple interactive kids playgrounds to keep younger kids entertained. The food and beverages were overpriced as expected but the quality was ok. The entry fees were very high in comparison to what other countries charge overseas.nnThe biggest issue for this zoo is parking. There is no onsite parking and visitors are expected to park on the street. As there is only a single street in front of the zoo, and it is shared with the next door Botanic Garden and Botanic Park, parking is severely limited. Luckily we went very early and parking wasn't an issue for us but as we left in the late afternoon, there were plenty of cars waiting to take my spot.
