I had a difficult decision to make sell my late wife's jewelry or keep it, the staff talked and educated me through the process which was unsettling because there is dress or costume jewelry which was costly to buy which they don't buy because the density of the metal could be gold or silver plated. One gold and silver which can be smelted with ease. Overall experience was positive, I got a most pleasant surprise in the valuation.

We had a great experience with the ladies in here. Security guard was lovely also. The ladies took the time to look over many items we had and we weren't treated or spoken down to like the other poster had experienced. Very helpful. Thanks everyone. We were in today at 1pm 8/10/22

Well I have been a customer of AEJ for more than 30 years, and this is my first time review for them. I've got on with staff, by the way I've seen them come, I've seen them go. I've NEVER had a problem, they have never been rude to me what so ever. Why other reviewers state that they are rude has got me. I trust AEJ and one example was today 4/11/22 I'm not going to say what my order was but it was very, very substantial! I made a request if possible and yes I got the phone call to say my order was at the shop awaiting pickup if I want it.. Fantastic thanks Jane for the phone call. It's very much appreciated indeed. And a huge thank you to Julie-ann and Deborah.. Oh, also Peter the security guard. See you all again sometime around the 17th of November.. HooRoo.

If I could give zero stars I would. I took in my 3,000 dollar 9 carat white gold ring with 1.5 carat diamond in it and they looked at it and said they won't take it. Said I'd be better off selling it on Gumtree or market place and getting 800 dollars for it. The one lady I had was very rude and I'm appalled at the service I received.

Place is alright, Brad the gaurd is always super awesome, keen for convo while working hard, very professional, other gaurds not so friendly. They do there job, haven't seen him recently, hope nothing happened.

The woman was very rude Only offered $70 for an aquamarine and diamond dress ring that was purchased originally for $1400 Absolutely disgusted by the service received

Absolutely horrible customer service from Natalie. Went in looking to make a substantial purchase in the next month or so only to have eyes rolled at me as I explained why I was instore before being asking "So you arent purchasing today?" With an attitude like I wasn't worth her time because I wasn't spending money that day. After leaving and discussing the incident with my partner, I returned to ask her name to put in a complaint in which she refused to answer my question until i had asked her multiple times. Not sure if its actually her name but she really shouldn't have a job in customer service.

Absolutely appalling customer service. The women who served my partner yesterday had TERRIBLE customer service and completely judged my partner talking down to him and speaking to him abruptly. Ive just returned for a trip and am unable to call as its after hours but believe I will be demanding to speak to the owner tomorrow and have this employee apologise. This behaviour is unacceptable!

Extremely bad customer service! while we were browsing the sales assistants were just talking amongst themselves saying rude racist comments about the Indian customer that had left and were laughing about them, while there were other customers in the store. They didn’t bother to ask if we wanted any assistance and the shop, was filthy. The jewellery display window was covered with dust and bugs.The jewellery looked cheap and of poor quality.

Abused and harassed by store staff. Rip off prices and evaluations. It's obvious most of the positive comments on here are made by the staff and family/friends of the owner, avoid Adelaide Exchange Jewellers at all costs, buyer beware.
