We went to Acre for a late lunch on Sunday and the place was pumping!! Cool location and awesome for bigger parties and family gatherings. Many kids were playing around in the garden and little playground, and it was a great atmosphere. We ordered our food and were impressed by the friendliness and competency of the waiter very well informed about dietaries. He even offered us to do the Foccacia gluten-free and we were pleasantly surprised by that and added it to our order the T-Bone and potatoes. The steak was nice, the potatoes were a bit oily but okay, but the “focaccia” turned out to be a storebought? white toast. We paid a fair bit of extra money for that and felt deceived by the waiter. That influenced our experience a bit to the negative side, but besides that a fun place for groups.
We came here as a group of 10 and were generally happy with our dining experience. The seating was spacious and comfortable. Service was quite good with a minor blemish of missing the delivery of one drink. With regards to the food, it was a mixed bag. Here's my review: - squid & chorizo - very tasty! - prawn & morton bay bug fritti - had trouble finding/tasting the premium ingredients - chicken in nduja - overcooked chicken that was tough, we did not finish the dish - trout shared plate - generally good but unevenly cooked, presentation-wise, maybe show the fish instead of covering it with salad - pork roulette - tender and tasty, best dish of the day - wagyu rump - perfectly cooked for me - lamb pie - mash was good but lamb fillings could do with more flavour - potatoes side - very nice - corn side - nice - fish & chips kids meal - fish was visibly over-fried and texture was similar to chicken nugget when bitten into - chicken slider kids meal - slider buns were dry, chicken was dry - coffee was good
Love the concept of the restaurant farm to table. Good lightening, spacious and cozy. Was here for a brunch and dishes were okay. Staff were very friendly and attentive. They have limited portions on some dishes so try and get in earlier than later to not be disappointed!
Honestly one of the best themed/atmosphere restaurant out there. Great for dates or family gathering. Staff were quick in and out serving - We were a party of 14 people. Drinks are good but the coffee at the end was poor. It became a coffee flavoured milk rather. Food were presented excellently but the roast was a tad overcooked and was drier than a desert waterfall. Overall, pleasantly nice place to be.
Loved it here, the atmosphere was wonderful with a garden out front and big windows and wood floors. Great for birthdays and other events. I was also able to order a cake upfront while making my online booking for my friends bday, baked inhouse.
I love this place! Tucked away in the quiet suburb of camperdown but once you walk in, you feel like you’re in a totally different place. Open seating plan with indoor or semi-outdoor seating. Should definitely book before you go if you can. Food, coffee and service was to the point. The idea of farm to table food has been carried out so elegantly and the greens were so fresh and well tasteful. However, it can be a tad pricey for weekend brunches. Definitely good spot for birthdays/events.
The eating experience here was wow! Food was great and they’d paid a lot of attention to detail. The Venue was cozy and fresh. I spent about 2h eating and chatting, a great overall experience. The outside part was stunning and just really nice food experience. Of course it’s pricey, but it is totally worth it!
Wonderful Australian modern restaurant! Perfect for any occasion, lunch and dinner! Sometimes I love having all vegetarian menu, it’s beautiful. But I also love their lamb. Great dedication and pleasant environment
Amazing place to have a tasty interesting breakfast full of flavour and colour. The locale is amazing with a large space both indoors and semi outdoors or totally outdoors. Abutted by tennis courts and playing fields it is in the middle of a lovely curated garden/ fields area. Moderately priced, it has great alcoholic drinks and in a way it is fresher and more fun than the overbusy Grounds in Alexandria. Highly recommended.
We recently enjoyed a cosy dinner at Acre Eatery. Make sure you arrive early so you can walk around the garden areas and check out the beautiful produce they serve in the restaurant. The food is seasonal eating at its best with good service, generous portions and friendly hospitality. No matter how full you are, don’t skip the dessert trolley! Bonus they also have a children’s menu which is a really nice touch for families.
