We stayed at the Acacia Caravan Park as we wanted a dog friendly park with the enclosed site. Online booking was easy and efficient. Upon arrival we checked in at the office, then staff owner? walked to our site and assisted me backing the van into the site. Not expected, but very much appreciated. The park is smallish but very nice and well kept. Extra small touches like clean bath mats for each time using the showers make this a very nice place to stay. It’s walking distance from the city centre. The only downside is the noise from passing trains, but didn’t bother us too much. Would highly recommend this caravan park, especially travelling with dogs.
Among the best caravan parks I have stayed at.nYou can tell the owners and staff put in the effort to make this caravan park as good as they can.nThere was a nice grassed area for my tent.nThere is a camp kitchen with a vending machine and coffee/hot chocolate maker, also a BBQ and pizza oven and table and chairs outside.nThe toilet/showers are a old, but have been semi renovated and are nice and clean. They even supplied a stack of clean bath mats to use, I have never seen that before at another caravan park.nThere was also a camp fire, but I didn't go down there, only because I didn't want my clothes to smell like smoke.nOnly issue is the park is near a train line with trains going past at night.nI would definitely recommend this caravan park.
Outstanding little caravan park. Less than 1km from the shopping district. The camp kitchen, toilet block, laundry and amenities are spotless. The pool is clean, fenced and inviting. Little touches like a book library, packets of biscuits, sugar, tea and coffee are free to take. Fresh towels available in the shower area. Staff/owners super friendly and you can see them working around the park constantly. We stayed in the fully fenced site which allowed us to let our dog out without any concerns/issues. The noise of the trains on the line which runs directly in front of the park was pretty loud, but you get used to it. Prices are very reasonable and we highly recommend this park.
This is a lovely little park. Walking distance to a number of attractions. Caravan sites were good, great camp kitchen and communal fire pit is lit every day. Amenities are older but spotless with extra little touches such as bathmats.nThe only draw back was the trains, but after a night or 2 we didn't notice them.
The camp ground is close to the town to walk to the main street and out for dinner. The sites are grassed, shady and flat, ideal for our swags. The camp kitchen is clean,nA good size and well stocked with pizza oven, BBQ TV, games and the usual kitchen items. Bathrooms were clean and were supplied with bathmats. A nice bonus.
