My mother was in Abbey Gardens for two and a half years before she passed away last Monday. The care, love and support my Mum got and the support they gave my family was just amazing. They are a wonderful, loving group of Nurses and Staff that went above and beyond for my Mum. I can never thank them enough for everything they did for her. The day Mum passed away there were Nurses that came in on their days off to say goodbye. Nurses and staff that were working came to say their goodbyes, Residents that popped in to say their goodbyes. The guard of honour they gave Mum was just beautiful. I can’t say enough about this amazing place and the Nurses and staff. Thank you all for making Mum’s time with you the happiest ever. She called it her home, she loved you all. From my family to you all, thank you for my Mum’s happiness.
Visited a family friend here last week. The place is immaculate, the gardens are perfectly maintained and the staff super friendly.
My Mother just spent two weeks respite at Abby Gardens, she absolutely loved her time there. Abby Gardens is beautiful with a calm atmosphere. My Mother loved the activities, food was excellent.nThe staff are amazing everyone was so friendly, caring and professional cannot rate them high enough.nI would highly recommend Abby Gardens
This nursing home is one of the best in the area. Hundreds of reasons to prove that. Nursing care is excellent. Nurses here are very knowledgeable and attentive to all the minor details of residents’ physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Their communication and handover methods are highly effective. Regular visiting doctors are very experienced and intelligent. The care staff is well-trained in attending to all the routine care of the residents. On-site physiotherapist makes sure that elderly people remain independent as much as they can. Lifestyle and activity assistants are proactive and keep residents active and engage to help maintain their psychological and emotional wellness. They have plenty of daily activities with activity assistants including card games, art and craft sessions, movies and music sessions, external music and art performances, bowling, snooker and other games, etc.nnThe infrastructure is also fabulous. This home accommodates 123 residents including 6 rooms allowing 3 couples and 16 special rooms in the dementia support unit Hollywood. Each room has an en suite bathroom and toilet. 2 large and 2 small dining rooms. 1 small and 4 big internal courtyard areas with beautiful gardens accessible from more than half of the rooms. A vast collection of books is in the library. The hairdressing salon is located in the west part of the building. Cafeteria for any relaxing light snacks, meals and well-prepared coffee serving families, friends, staff and residents. The secure building with external locked doors. On-site car park for 45 vehicles including disabled car parking. Overall, this place is the best choice for elderly residents. They do have a long waiting list when it comes to getting admission here.
