I was at AA Manukau to renew my license. After waiting in the queue for 20 minutes, when my turn came, the staff member informed me that I needed to sit down and wait for my turn again. There were no clear instructions displayed at the front desk, except for one about overseas licenses in bold letters. It would be helpful if AA could provide clearer instructions on where different customers should wait. I was disappointed with the service and would suggest improvements before visiting this branch again
Hello, I recently visited the AA Manukau office to convert my overseas license. A staff member checked all my documents and confirmed that everything was in order. However, after waiting for more than two hours, I was almost at the driver's license desk when another staff member checked my documents again and informed me that my medical certificate had expired. The certificate stated that it was valid for 60 days, but it had been 58 days since the issue date. I was confused because the first staff member did not mention that my medical certificate was about to expire. Additionally, I believe it would be more accurate if the certificate stated that it expires in 8 weeks instead of 60 days to avoid confusion. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at AA Manukau.
Both times I went in there I left pissed off. First off, abysmal customer service. All staff have thick accents yet do not know how to compensate for them. They also do not care about you as a customer, giving unhelpful, cold responses that will only annoy you. The first time I went to book my learners I “failed” their eye test which resulted in me having to get a DL-12 which I passed with flying colours from an optometrist costing an additional $25. The second time I went which was to take the learners test I asked a staff member where to go and she gave me incorrect directions wrong queue which led to me and my mum wasting 30 minutes for nothing. This in turn caused me to miss my learners test and having to rebook for their own mistake. No apology was given, nothing to compensate, just a “rebook.” Furthermore, this AA has the most atrocious wait times you will ever see. You would think this was the only AA in the whole of Auckland the way waiting 30 minutes is a regular occurrence. If it were not for the convenient location this place would have shut down a long time ago. Ultimately, shocking experience and please refrain from even thinking of entering this AA because if the wait times don’t frustrate you already, the customer service will.

Horrible time here. Went in at 10 am so my daughter could do her learners licence theory test. Waited in line for over 1.5 hours and had our documents checked while waiting and was told everything was correct. Only to be told the next available time for her to do the test was in a month. If the man that had checked the documents told us she wouldn’t be able to sit the test we would have just left and not wasted almost 2 hours of our day for no reason.
