A Spoon Full of Sugar Cafe

Great place to visit! Lovely atmosphere, charming, with such friendly service. The matron is quick to tell you about the history and things to see or do in the area. The cafe is set amongst several historic buildings, each with their own story. There was a very nice breeze making the trees sway as I watched to boats on the famous Mary River! The ‘Chimney Sweep’ was very good and served promptly. Highly recommend this place as a starting point to a journey or maybe a midway point on a walk around town.

Got a coffee cone special which was a nice new experience. Staff are attentive and friendly. Our mini cheesecakes were stale but the menu ordered items were well paced and good value. Coffee was nice. Which is all too important these days. Nice outlook on a sleepy Sunday street.

Lovely spot for morning tea. Owners were very friendly and warm. Nice location close to historical sites in Maryborough- we were even treated to an unexpected performance by some local historians! Very pleasant stop while exploring Maryborough.

My favourite cafe! Looks over the river. Lovely staff, lovely food. Can't wait to go back.

Average. I had their Big Breakfast which was average and the bacon was super salty. Service was good and staff friendly and pleasant.

Historical building, pleasant and informative staff but the menu is a little restricted. Still a good place to eat.

Nice location but selection of meals inadequate for lunch. What we had could have been purchased at a takeaway cafe. Sad we have to give these comments because it is a lovely building with a great outlook to the river. Suggest you pick up your game with a better menu in the immediate future.

Lovely light lunches snacks coffee, fast serving cafe sitting off the banks of the Mary River in the heritage gateway of Maryborough - see the steam train on Thurs ride on past after watching the firing of cannon at 11am Mon-Sat to finish off the 9am heritage walk from City Hall. Recommended

Breakfast was lovely. The nicest cafe in Maryborough. Really nice coffee. Well priced. Staff great. Better than most breakfasts in hervey bay. All with lovely views.

Quite possibly the best BLT I have had, full stop. Do yourself a favour and have a coffee frappe. Lovely cool, breezy veranda and peaceful outlook. Pleasant staff. Worth a second visit.
