We decided to try this place after seeing their attractive noodle signage along George Street. We ordered the Fish Broth Noodle, Pan Fried Buns, Pork Chop Rice Cakes and Rice wine sticky rice balls to cleanse our palate. The fish broth was perfect - not too salty or fishy. The pork buns were fresh. The rice cakes were fried which is a first. The pork chop was very tender. Very delicious and wholesome food and prices are very good. The restaurant was very clean and staff members were very friendly. Overall very happy with our meal today and we will definitely return.
I came here after work for a quick dinner and it was delicious. A quite and humble restaurant with good quick service! Some traditional and authentic Shanghainese dishes which you won’t find elsewhere in Sydney. Loved all the pan fried dumplings but the standout was definitely pork belly in dark soy! It was incredible!
A Bowl Of Noodles was served traditional shanghai dishes So so delicious! especially dumplings, noodles, ....etc. were just perfect! . . The signatures are the Stir-fried Shredded Eel Noodles and with eggs noodles they were both definitely amazing . You can choose how you want the noodles, so I try one soup noodle and one dry noodles. Staff was so friendly, restaurant so clean and warm welcome, I enjoyed my meals a lot , i feel like I have dinner at home cooked by my grandmother
Loved the shallot oil noodles and the sweet and sour pork. Found the spicy fried chicken very salty. The dumplings were good. Would go back and try other items on the menu.
Cozy little noodle restaurant near central. There’s enough seats for about 20 ppl but it is a tight fit. Ordered noodles with braised beef short ribs, some dumplings and a fried pork chop. The noodles were good with a tasty sauce on top but I kind of wanted more. The short ribs were tender but left me wanting more. The dumplings tasted fresh made can’t confirm but they were not the highlight of the meal.. that leads me to the pork chop! It was so tender and juicy. Surprising how good it was. Also ordered “Chinese green tea” but it was just a twinnings tea bag. Overall flavours were enjoyable. The customer service was not really there but not unexpected for a quick service place like this. Slightly disappointed as I had high expectations and there a lot of options around the area.
The tofu was my favourite, literally the best silken tofu I’ve ever had. Can have this every day and probably won’t be sick of it. noodle is good too but a bit thick, maybe a bit too heavy for one person.
Finally got to try their eels noodles , it’s initially served with soupy noodles but I changed it to scallion dry noodles AND THIS IS THE BEST DECISION, love the dish Their braised beef noodles was also good, the beef was juicy and tender in your mouth. The other MUST ORDER dish is TOFU WITH SPINACH in pumpkin sauce, the sweet, a bit salty and umami flavour danced in my mouth soo good
Finally got to try out this Shanghainese spot located conveniently across central station! The scallion oil noodles and pork chop with rice cakes were the best dishes. Eel was very flavourful but a bit of an acquired taste if you’re not used to the flavour. Soup dumplings lacked soup so they were a bit disappointing. The fan tuan paired with the soy milk was a great combo. Would be back to try their other dishes!!
We had a great feast of Spicy Chicken Wings, Pan Fried Pork Buns & Dumplings, Slow Cooked Beef Brisket, Braised Duck, Kung Pao Chicken and Noodles! Service was very quick and the dishes were authentic and great value - my favourites were the Slow Cooked Beef Brisket and Spicy Chicken Wings!
Absolutely delicious noodles. The sauce for the eel was so yummy, the only downside is that it was very oily. The fish noodles was also delicious, you can truly taste the fish in the broth without the 'fishy' taste. Staff was also prompt and friendly. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!Food: 5/5
