Story

We make gourmet Dairy Free Sorbet and Organic Milk Gelato, and are based locally in Tawa, Wellington, New Zealand.

Zelati gelato and sorbet are made from ‘scratch’ at our Freezeria in Tawa, NZ using only premium quality, real ingredients, which DO NOT CONTAIN added or artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. All our products are GLUTEN, EGG and GELATINE FREE!

Our GELATO are approximately 92 to 95% FAT FREE and made from Organic Milk. Our SORBET is totally Dairy Free, approximately 97-100% FAT FREE, and the Fruit flavours contain 30 to 34% Real Fruit.

Our stockists are listed below in the 'Products' section - we are available at selected New World Supermarkets mainly in the Wellington region, and now also available at ALL 3 Auckland Farro Fresh branches.

Our Freezeria Retail store is open here in Tawa for you to come try our delicious flavors in cups and cones!

Recently got the Mango Float! My partner and I shared it. It was very delicious. An interesting mix of textures. It wasn’t our favourite Zelati experience but it was a delicious dessert. I love their gelato by itself!
If you want a banging dessert…..Highly recommend this hidden gem, Zelati! Their WOAP burgers are off the chart 10/10 as well as all their other yummy desserts. Customer service is outstanding, staff are so friendly and all look like they enjoy their jobs. It’s not just the food it really is the experience
Perfect wee dessert stop the other day at @zelati – I’ve been eyeing up the Baklava Ala Mode for such a long time so finally went and got it – Crushed pistachios, rose petals, saffron rose gelato on a pistachio baklava ring We also got the chocolate brownie sundae which looked and tasted phenomenal! Definitely one for a sweet tooth like me Perfect way to end the weekend

A delicious dessert stop in Wellington City - with options for brownies, cookies, floats and ice creams. After being offered a taste of the Ube icecream by the friendly staff member, I ordered an Ube brownie a la mode. The Ube was delicious, a unique flavour that adds a real cake-y feeling to the brownie. I loved it.
The first time I tried dessert here, it was so delicious and tasty. Super recommend the summer special halo halo. Also really friendly and high standard service. Will be back again!

Truly the best ice cream me and my partner have ever had. If I could give 10 stars I would. This will forever be a place we stop at when visiting Wellington, I would definitely recommend to everyone it is especially great that they have so many options for all from vegan to gluten free. The staff were also super friendly which is hard to come by these days so we will 100% be back.
Super nice place, gelato is soooooo good! Great flavours and the gelato texture is perfect. Price is definitely worth it at $7 for a very generous "small". Everything I walk past I'll have to get something now :p
Zelati offers surprise and delight. Wellington has the good fortune of several wonderful places to get a scoop, but Zelati still manage to see themselves apart with unique flavours. Every single gelato I’ve tasted here has been delicious, worthy of taking home a tub. And they manage vegan treats without any compromise on taste or texture. This is a must-try!
