This is really nice place to stay, I was quietly surprised by the pleasant camp sites amongst the trees. The facilities were good... bathrooms and showers nice and thank god for a shower curtain and dry area to change in. Only thing that let down this place was the rooster which woke us up early and kitchen was a little small and not designed well.
My family were so excited to stay here, as we had heard great reviews but that wasn't the case for us. I really hope this unit gets the attention it deserves. Looking at the other reviews, we might have had a better experience staying in the camp site. Our family stayed in the 'Park Motel' and were very disappointed with the state of the room. It is in need of some serious TLC and an upgrade of décor. All the furniture is tired looking and in poor condition. There is no aircon however you should provide fans, especially with how bad the humidity was when we stayed. You aren't able to open the windows or doors, with the amount of insects around I understand you're in the country and that can't be helped hence why fans are needed otherwise screen doors or ceiling fans The couch smelt damp which we avoided and there were spiders in almost every corner of the rooms. No vent in the shower, so the steam overflowed into the unit and added to the condensation, plus the window handle was broken. No dust pan or broom, had trouble with the hot water in the kitchen. Carpet should be replaced or have floor boards. I would've taken more photos, but we just wanted to get out.
Great location. The holiday park was awesome. Loved the amount of tables & seating situated near each room/cabin/site, This made entertaining easy as pie for our family. ThanksRooms: 4/5
We stayed here on a Saturday night and set our tents up on the higher ground at the rear of the holiday park. We had a great outlook over the valley and it was only a two minute walk for the showers and toilets and kitchen. All the facilities were spotless and in good order. The toilet block even had pot plants and music playing!
What a place! Great camping to stay at the wonderful town of Ahipara. Close the beach. The camping ground is large, have good and clean facilities. Ezelen kitchen with all the tools you need and a fantastic bbq place. The camping feels already friendly when you arrive. The staff is friendly.
Great park, we stayed here 2 nights whilst visiting the Cape. Close to 90 mile Beach. Amenities are very clean.best shower pressure than any other caravan park we have stayed at Location: 5/5
Great and affordable holiday park. Very close to Ninety Mile Beach. Stayed on a powered site for Campervan. Clean showers and toilets. Clean, large and well-furnished kitchen. Cosy dining and relax area with couches and a ping-pong table. Nice outdoor dining area as well. Really worth your money and the owner was extremely friendly!! Would absolutely recommend if you want to stay in the area !
Stayed two nights in large campervan. Overpriced considering distance from beach and the walk to the amenities block. Very clean and tidy. Dump station is a real mission to access.Service: 2/5
We stayed two nights in a tent, grounds and facilities were great. Shared kitchen with utensils provided along with a large outdoor BBQ and eating area. There was a weird smell around some freshly cut trees but it didn't appear to spread far and didn't affect our camp site.
On our whole tour of Northland, Ahipara Holiday Park was by far the best. Well equipped, super clean, amazing private layout of powered sites, fantastic customer service and awesome music in the bathrooms! A++Rooms: 5/5
