Staying at Endless Summer Lodge in Ahipara was just the night of comfort we needed during our road trip around the north island. The building is not only immaculately clean and beautifully kept but also a unique historic space. We stayed in the budget double room and it was much larger than anticipated. The kitchen was easy to use and we enjoying sitting out back in the covered courtyard to eat our meals. My partner and I cracked a beer and laid in the hammocks listening to the waves the beach is right across the road. Thank you Anna & Blaine!
Fantastic experience. Traveling around NZ and found this place. Instant community feeling, great people, stunning view, great showers! Surf board with wetsuit included for $20. Amazing hosts. Please stay there, you'll love it! Noteworthy details: The beach is right in front!

After nearly 2.5 years of traveling all around New Zealand, from top to bottom and back again, I'm here to say that Endless Summer Lodge is my absolute favorite place that I've stayed! It is truly an incredible hidden gem and not to be missed. The house is a gorgeous and charming historic kauri building and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. I enjoyed countless chats with other guests and our hosts alike. Whether you're going for a surf down the road at the beautiful Shipwreck Bay, lounging with a book in one of the hammocks in the front yard, playing fetch with the resident dog, having a morning coffee on the front patio or a glass of wine out back under the twinkling lights, or falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves, I can all but guarantee that you won't spend a second feeling like you're anywhere other than paradise. 11/10 loved my time at Endless Summer Lodge and would stay again in a heartbeat!
Although it appeared to be full, it was very quiet. No long ques for bathrooms. Very clean. We had a great view. Very friendly and helpful, all round excellent lodge experience in a beautiful part of the north, we don't get to enough.Rooms: 5/5
A little piece of paradise. I stayed for only 2 days afew years back but I always think back upon this place and town.. love it here.. good for a backpacker or traveller alike.. a good atmosphere but not a party place by any means. You will get a good night's sleepRooms: 5/5
Have just spent the weekend in Ahipara at the Endless Summer Lodge - Guest House. The lodge is an character building that has been restored. The location is to die for. The rooms are immaculate, clean and comfortable. The others areas of the place include a beautiful kitchen with so much charm that leads out to a patio area with grapevine cover. Amazing natural wood table and form seats. The owners were away at the time but we were well looked after by those people who were looking after the house. Exceptional, amazing and well recommended.
This place is a little heaven, didn't see any place that shining clean in so long and you get there and feel home as soon as you walk in, everything is just great from the kitchen to the bedroom and bathrooms, comfort and organisation wise. We enjoyed our meals under the huge grape vines so much! And the kitchen has everything you can think of, all good quality and perfectly clean. The owners are very lovely and have done an amazing job to this old historic house! The view from the front bedrooms over the ocean is a great plus
One of the best hostels in the north. Succeeded in getting a room there after having tried three times the years before. Being patient will reward you with days to remember! A remarkable site: beautiful rooms in an old mansion, a well kept garden to find some rest, a well equipped kitchen, the beach just over the road, the beginning of 90 mile beach and not to forget the hosts making you feel at home.
This is a beautiful place with enough bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and the whole place has lovely historical character. It's been refurbished and well maintained. There's even a pretty outside dining long table with overhanging grape vine, and a wood fired pizza oven. Hosts are very lovely, and don't forget to relax in the hammocks.
