Stopped in here on our trip from Kapiti to Bay of Plenty and asked if they had the chiller bags. These staff went above and beyond to see if they had any. Checked basically the whole store to see if there were any... so nice even though they had none. Thanks team!

Completely hopeless service. Was in the shop this morning. Saturday, Lsbour weekend, and had a full loaded trolley of groceries. There were no staff at all available to operate a checkout, majorally understaffed and no one there to even open up a checkout. Instead all shoppers directed to go thru the self checkout. That was ludicrous as there's simply no room for a full load of groceries. The limit on them is 15 or less. I had to do my shopping in 3 stages which required the staff members assistance 3 times. She was extremely helpful and patient despite being flat out with other shoppers all going thru self checkout. Sort out your staff Levin. Management needs to have adequate staff on per shift and available staff on call, especially a holiday weekend.nnUpdate: December 27th. Once again hopeless staff rosters. 4 staff on for a busy Christmas Saturday morning. There was 1 staff on the till but when I got yo checkout that person had closed the till as had to go out the back to help the 1 poor person doing the online pick up's. I had 37 items which do not fit on the small area and once again it was a stressful shopping experience. I'm sicknof the management here, sort out your staff rosters or you're going to lose customers. Woolworths is not the only supermarket in town! No fault of the staff working, they do their best and are polite and helpful. I didn't want to make their lives harder but I was very tempted to leave my full trolley and walk out and spend my $ at Pak n Save or New world.
Went to get groceries yesterday and left without many basics as the shelves were empty. This included the Coke Zero on special, Woolworths own brand biscuits, dried fruit mix, bread, 4 different spices, frozen prawns, and the fruit and veg was abysmal, wilted and stale looking. The amount of gaps on the shelves was really, really noticeable. Very frustrating and makes for an unappealing place to shop. Given the prices you would think at the very least the shop would be well stocked and the food on offer would be decent quality.
