Great supermarket. We went there and surprised. They don't sell alcohol here. Didn't know invercargill city council doesn't allow supermarkets to have alcohol section display in. But we can order them online and do a pick up. I'm not sure why. Oh well. The rest of supermarket was great.

One of the best places for your shopping in Invercargill. The best thing is that it is open till midnight. A well arranged place, with great customer service, a great car park and a wide range of products. Veggies are comparatively fresh from other places. Frozen foods are also good when compared to others. All in all Countdown is awesome.nnI have bought one blender from there, and after 3 months it stopped working. I got to them and without any issues they gave the full refund that I paid for the product. Really good customer service :
Being from Duendin was surprised being of the franchise that they didn't have the same range of products and the only soap was in the chemist part with very limited options? Other than ylthat pretty standard.
Excellent but watch out if you're looking for any booze.......in Invercargill you can only buy it in liquor stores...
