Bought some groceries from here. The supermarket is big, clean, and easy to walk around. Good range of food with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and everyday items. Prices are okay and shelves are well stocked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to find on Tay Street with parking nearby. Good place for regular shopping.
Seem to problems with the staff at the moment, grumpy lady from customer service called Erin palmed me off so I didn't get the gf buns I requested and the lady from frozens that said she call me back didn't! Only one checkout open this morning apparently staff storages...bit awful!

Great supermarket. We went there and surprised. They don't sell alcohol here. Didn't know invercargill city council doesn't allow supermarkets to have alcohol section display in. But we can order them online and do a pick up. I'm not sure why. Oh well. The rest of supermarket was great.
One of the best places for your shopping in Invercargill. The best thing is that it is open till midnight. A well arranged place, with great customer service, a great car park and a wide range of products. Veggies are comparatively fresh from other places. Frozen foods are also good when compared to others. All in all Countdown is awesome.nnI have bought one blender from there, and after 3 months it stopped working. I got to them and without any issues they gave the full refund that I paid for the product. Really good customer service :
