I could not believe how many snapper we caught?? From the time that we boarded, Trent went out of his way to ensure that we were going to have a great day! He has a large, comfortable and very fast boat that got us to the fishing spot in no time! Incredible fishing with many snapper around 2+ kilo and a couple of 6-7k as well. Thank you Trent for a truly amazing day. We'll definitely be back.
Four of us recently spent the day with Trent, Captain of Wild Blue, hunting for Kingfish. Trent has to be the most determined charter Captain I've come across and the hardest working, it was difficult to get my hands wet! Because of his effort, knowledge and skill we had an awesome day, catching more and bigger fish than expected with the bonus of Dolphin acrobatics, sharky moments and Blue Planet scale work ups. I can't think of anything which could have improved our day. Stunning. I'm really looking forward to another trip with "Need a Bigger Chillybin Charters" as we now call him. Cheers Trent, epic day.
Top job Trent. We started by catching 40+ livies in 5minutes. In 6hrs we caught our limit in snapper and daughter caught two big kingies. Trent filleted them on the way back from the hole in the rock. We are more than happy and have booked another trip with him. Thanks for a great no hassle friendly trip. Cheers
Had a great morning fishing with Trent on Wild Blue. Very attentive Skipper made sure we all caught using a variety of methods including softbait. One fair size Kingfish that went back and several Snapper. Could not recvomend Trent highly enough would love the opportinity to book with him again next time we are in NZ.
Went out for the day to target kingfish. We got burnt by 3 big buggas. Then just got snapper. Trent hunted down the kingis for us and we got 5 monsters. Can't wait to get out again with you Trent. Thank you for a fantastic day and the great memories. My 12 year old son caught 2 kingis almost taller than him. Life time memories for him. Thank you again.
Had cousins over from the UK for the last couple of weeks and we decided to book a day out with Wildblue Charters to do some sightseeing and fishing. We couldn’t be happier with both the skipper Trent or the Boat. The facilities on board are excellent, there is lots of room in the cabin area and out the back for fishing. Trent took us out through The Hole in the rock and into Otehei Bay on Urupukapuka Islands for a lunch stop. With Trents many years experience as a skipper in the Bay of Islands he not only knows all the areas he knows what to keep any eye out for and it showed today as he spotted a Humpback Whale and Calf which we got to watch play and surface. The day couldn’t have gone any better with fantastic service and some great fishing. I look forward to going out with Wildblue Charters again soon!

Professional Captain - who is eager to catch fish! We went 2 times with Trent and we can recommend his big boat and his work highly. He was always trying to make the best out of the day - even when it was hard to find the fish. One day we found the fish just when the fishing time was over but he gave an hour on top till everybody caught his fish! On the next day he spottet quickly some Kingfish casted a stickbait at them and after 15 seconds we had it on and more were following - he is a one man show on board but we always had the feeling that he is everywhere to help everybody catching fish. The difference to another charter we went is that Captain Trend is an enthusiastic sports-fisherman and not a sightseeing captain! if you want to have a good chance of a big Kingfish or others- Go with him!
We had a great day with Trent, he took good care of us and we caught a huge snapper amongst many others, not bad for our first time fishing! Highly recommended.
