Bay of Islands Maori Boat Tours is a non-profit organization founded by Rua Paul a native tour guide, artisan and chef with Gavin Cross local skipper and fishing guide. Together they share their views of home around the Bay of Islands.

Even if you're not loaded enough to have one on the water, bring your dad to gape at the variety of yachts... It's almost as fun. Puns aside, walking along the marina is nice; one almost feels rich.
We hauled out our Oyster 55 Magic Dragon here for a week. Excellent service from Travelift staff, Sally, Chad and the team doing antifoulimg, Total Engineering Services for stainless welding & Total Yacht Care for polishing. All in all a very good, fairly priced experience. Highly recommended!
Good marina, has laundromat, marina cafe, haul out facilities, repair shops galore, burnsco and another boat spares shop. Renting a mooring is a bit pricey considering how exposed the mooring field is. Heaps of boats around. Watch out for the russel ferry.
Very well organised marina. We stayed here on our boat for a month. Professional staff, clean facilities and safe. Two chandleries and other yacht services within walking distance.
Excellent one-stop-shop Marina with many services provided, from maintenance services, groceries, marine chandlery and restaurants.

We've kept our boat at the Bay of Islands marina for quite a while.. And for the most part, it's been okay. However, even though they say there is security, what they do not make clear is that the cameras do NOT film down any of the Piers. Pointless for any boat owner. Furthermore there is one female staff member German, I beleive who patrols with an iron fist. Have overheard countless conversations with other boaties that she tells them off for using too much water/making too much noise/belongings on the concrete fingers/dogs not on a lead ... blah blah blah. She does get tiresome after a while, and for that reason alone, we are thinking of moving our boat to another marina.
Really good service for temporary berth just make sure you've got insurance up to date as caused some scrambling but the team looked after us and it's pretty good value..
