White Elephant

Without a doubt one of the best hostels in NZ! We stayed for 3.5 months in a private room. Good prices, kitchen can be a bit crowded though. Pam is great and made us feel at home, helping whenever we needed. Beautiful yard with a cozy feeling. Miss you Poppy!

Wonderful, small and cozy hostel that will make you feel like a home. If you prefer smaller places before big commercial facilities this is your place to go. Had short, but very nice stay here.

The host was lovely, kitchen and dorm room spotless. My legs were a bit long for the single bed but if you nab a bottom bunk you should be fine!

Wow. The White Elephant is a gem. One of a kind backpacker hostel. The owners really care about there guests. If you are lucky you may share your room with a cat!

Staff were so friendly and helpful we had a very clean and modern Bach where we could park our motorcycles outside and centrally located
