Was very impressed with this place. The meal was amazing! I don't usually have healthy food but this place was so good. All the sauces were homemade and divine. I would recommend the brocollini as it's so simple and just delicious. Very good wine range also. It is 2 part as it has a spot for the bar & beer sit up and then a separate spot for the wine and dine. The couches are incredibly nice and overall the vibe is very elegant and relaxing. They also hire out the upstairs floor for private events.
Seriously impressed with this place. Came here for the beer, but it’s definitely worth stopping by just for the food. Good place to dine, the food came out fast and was extremely flavourful. Loved the lamb sweetbreads and Creme Brûlée. Chef Dhruv and the team did a great job.
Enjoyed the chunky potato's and the flavours of the beers. That said, for the price paid I think the Pork belly could be bigger, and the tiny beer glasses could be tapped to full, not 2/3rds. Good atmosphere though
We recently rented out Whistling Sisters for a company function for about 90+ people. The detail and attentiveness we received from the team was absolutely remarkable. Dealing with Stef was such a dream, she was so accommodating to literally any need. I have never had such a positive experience with booking a venue for a large function EVER. The night itself was incredible also, the food, atmosphere, all the staff, everything was done immaculately. The staff working on the night in particular were beyond attentive, drinks were filled up immediately after they were emptied! So happy with the venue, and our team would not stop going on about how amazing this venue was. One thing in particular I want to note is the attentiveness around dietary requirements and allergies. The food was insane, those crispy potatoes!!! People were saying they were the best they have ever had. So happy with how everything turned out, massive massive thank you to the team for dealing with us! We will definitely be back!
Great customer service with wonderful beer crafted on site Tapas/ share plates that want you asking for more A good night out worth "coming across the ditch for"
I had my 40th party at the upstairs room at WS I had about 40 people. It was a fantastic experience. The space is lovely and very private from the rest of the bar. The staff put in a lot of effort to ensure everything was organised to my liking and I could just relax and really enjoy my night. The food was delicious and I got amazing value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this as an event space.
Lovely IPAs and yummy food can't go wrong with fried mozzarella. Really friendly service too. The sisters live up to their rep as one of the best in town
Awesome addition to Wellington’s central city brewery scene, Whistling Sister has started out with strong performing beers that’ll have you keen for another pint. The brewery’s location puts it within easy walking distance of every part of the city, and makes for a great starting point for your night. Whistling Sister is spacious and spread out. Easily filled by customers to generate a great ambiance without stuffing people in next to each other. A big bar area is ideal for leaning and drinking, while the dining area comfortably fits big groups. Plan to go on a sunny day to get seats outside or at one of the big open windows. The pale ales and lager are great offerings, but order a tasting flight/board to really appreciate the brewery’s skill. Attention has been paid to the less beer-inclined and a good little wine list is on hand. The food is burgeoning into signs of greatness. Quick service means you won’t be left hungry, and great sharing platters make drinks into dinner easily. A couple of little misses on the menu, but these will no doubt come out in the wash soon. The cured meats are a must, so treat yourself. Overall, a great restaurant that has potential to become a local landmark. Go here for the beer, and enjoy ending up staying much longer than you thought you would!
The vibe of this place was awesome. The bartenders were super friendly and helpful as well. There was a chill feel and it wss very modern and clean. The beer that we had was tasty and unique. I would highly recommend stopping in for a drink or 2. There was bar seating as well as tables and booths. We had already eaten so I can't review on the food but I'm sure it was good.
The experience was normal, it was a restaurant which brews beer, the staff were friendly and polite. The beer was delicious. The popcorn cauliflower was some of the best I've had. Now let's talk about the solo, the meal, the reason I went. TLDR I won't be going for the Korean vegan burger again. Don't get me wrong the experience was fine and some of it had its benefits. In saying that I won't return for the burger. I was dissapointed in the attempt, have I had better seitan burgers? Ofcourse, I've made better. The burger fillings were quite nice, the apple and salad were a nice touch, the patty however was uneventful and dry, it was tough and tasted like it had been reheated from a few days a go, had the texture of a quick microwave reheat. Would I return to whistling sisters beer Co? Yes, but not for the burger, ill return for the cauliflower and beer, they were delicious.
