Whanganui Surf Lifesaving Club

Surf life savers sat in vehicle on beach talking and looking at phones. When told there was a rip with strong undertow between the flags they shrugged off the information and went back to their phones.nBoth looked to be in mid teens.nWe were at the beach for 4 hours and not once did either of them get near the water, the flags weren't moved even though there was an obvious rip moving up the beach.

A great place to take a picnic, swim and watch the children play on the park.

Thank you so much to the volunteers who keep our beaches patrolled and keep and eye on everyone in the surf. You are a wonderful bunch of people.
