Workshops and social events happen throughout the year. Beginner classes are available. Friendly group. New members are always welcome.
Wanganui Potters' Society has about 80 members at present, new members are always welcome. There is an annual subscription of $60 per person.
As a member you will receive many benefits including a newsletter and use of the library.
Club day for members to work in the rooms are Wednesdays 9.30am to 1pm and Wednesday and Thursday nights 6.30 to 8.30pm.
Members are all ages and from all walks of life - some retired and some with young families.
We have public raku firings from time to time, usually on a Saturday morning.
One of our members, April Pearson, is currently running beginner pottery classes on Tuesday evenings at the clubrooms if you wish to learn the basics.
We hold one exhibition a year when there is a guest selector and a guest potter. The next exhibition will be held in April 2018. Our 'Art in the Garden' event is being held on 4 & 5 November 2017.
We have a lot of fun and there is always someone around to help with "How should I do this?"
We have a large supply of clay for members and non-members to purchase. There are also many glazes and pit and bisque firings happening every alternative week.
