A great place to drop off your recycling. Staff are always trying to be friendly even when some of the public is not. Site is close to city centre so convenient when coming into town.
Good set up easy to get to bins etc staff on hand if needed
Great place, helpfully friendly staff! Great job guys n gals
Well, there I was quietly recycling 3 bins of bottles and 1 bin of plastics/cans, when out of the blue one of the recycling people, a man about my middle aged, comes up and asks, How often do you do your recycling? Cos I've noticed you have a lot, mainly bottles. I answered It's not as many as usual. Lol. Tbh, I'm not sure I want to go back there,
This is An awesome place to drop off Yr unwanted recycle products. But lately staff have been lazy. Some just stand around. It is never open by 9am as suppose to be. They also start taking away the bins just after 4 while u are still putting stuff in. They are meant to be open until 4.30pm. Hrs should be back to normal it is too crowded with everybody trying to do recycle in small time frame.you waste time waiting in line.
Every ‘pocket’ was very well marked, staff very willing to help if not sure. Always love doing our recycle run. We sort everything into type in buckets at home which makes it easy. Love throwing the bottles down the chutes!
It's a shame the hardwash has gone. Guessing it's a covid thing, you would think that would help? Great resource center behind the recycling area. Lots of handy stuff for gardening and kids craft projects. All sorts of stuff to upcycle.
We usually have a wonderful experience. Today we arrived at 4.15 with 1 car ahead of us. We were asked " So, do you turn up 3 minutes before the supermarket closes? We were so stunned we said " We were held up with previous shopping." We were unpacked & left by 4.30.
Terrible experience everytime I'm there. Staff are generally rude but one guy who appeared to be a manager sitting in an office doing nothing started shouting abuse at me for getting things in the wrong bins even saying his 3 year old is smarter. Spent ages studying the numbers thinking I was finally doing the right thing but turns out it now it's broken down even further and all colours doesn't include clear! Hate to think my rates are going towards funding this place and paying a guy like this.
My husband & I recycle every week but unlike Carron Wakefield, we find the staff pleasant and helpful. We think they do a wonderful job considering some of the unpleasant things they often have to deal with. Perhaps a smile and a couple of nice words to the staff would make all the difference to Carron's visits.
