I normally get messed about with prescriptions, or appointments being canceled without being told but today was the final straw.nI was called a few days ago saying that I needed to come in for a blood pressure test. I asked for the first appointment available 9am so I didn't miss too much work and it was booked in.nI turn up today for my appointment at 8.50 and waited until 9.20 before asking what was going on.nI was told the nurse was talking to another nurse and she would be with me in a minute.nI waited until 9.40 before announcing I was leaving and that about 20 people had gone ahead of me.nThe lack of respect at this center is just a joke and I genuinely can't believe they're still open with how unreliable and haphazard they are.nDefinitely changing doctors.
I agree with all the comments here...I remember Dr Hegde serviced the Wainuiomata community on his own for years and you could always get looked at on the same day. Now you have almost zero chance of being seen the same day and lucky to get an appointment within 3 days of calling. I have a disabled partner who was told her appointment she made 2 weeks prior was cancelled and expected her to run around making new appointments. She needs a wheel chair but fights to get the swing doors open to the medical center while the rude receptionists watch from the comfort of their chairs...sure sign they have been there to long.
I luckily got a same day appointment for a puncture wound that happened the night before, but as with the other comments here, the receptionist was rude.nI get seen fairly quickly, but the nurse was also rude and chatting with coworkers while I'm waiting for her to get two things to treat my foot with. She was also quite rough with handling my foot which was still really sore and didn't have much regard for her coat which would snag my foot as she walked by me. She gives me back a bandage I used as first aid but threw out other expensive dressings that could have been washed and reused. She then made me walk to the other end of the medical center on crutches, stopping to chat with another coworker on the way. When I'm done and give an acc form to the receptionist she makes me stand there for what felt like 10 minutes again, on crutches. I'm readjusting myself multiple times getting uncomfortable and when she's done, she doesn't tell me this, so I'm just standing there and have to ask myself. No help getting through the two push doors either. Had a stranger help me from outside when she realised I was leaning to open the door.nnA seperate time, I felt coerced into taking a smear test when I felt it wasn't necessary. I had other issues that were of bigger importance but because I was overdue for one, that seemed to be the priority. It came back negative for anything and wasted the entire appointment. I had no chance to mentally expect or prepare for a smear test and left feeling violated.
DENTAL CARE:n4 month ago I had a tooth ache in the weekend. Pharmacist recommended Clover Oil for the pain. It worked. Monday I booked an appointment to see the dentist. I was seen by the dentist on Wednesday. The problem tooth had to come out. I dreaded what was to come next. To my surprise, I didn't feel it and the rest of the procedure was painless. Whether it was the Clover Oil or not, if going to this female dentist means painless treatment then I'll gladly go back. Thank you so much.
This is a bit if a joke.nCalled at 9:30am then got told theirs a 3 week wait. How are people planning on getting sick 3 weeks ahead? Explained about needing to be seen as I can't goto work in this condition. Was told bad luck, goto after hours or try online. Where does the funding even come from for this place? Such a let down.
