Easy boarding with a vehicle to head to the South Island . Staff are exceptionally trained , very efficient & friendly.nThe ferry departed on time and arrived at the Picton terminal precisely on schedule .nAmenities and restaurants were clean throughout the vessel . Seating ample & very comfortable.nI spent a fair bit of the trip on the upper viewing deck & thoroughly enjoyed the pristine sights along this remarkable trip.nHighly recommended for great service & reasonably priced value .
My journey this evening on the 6:30pm Interislander Ferry Kaiarahi from Picton to Wellington was nothing short of exceptional, and it's worth highlighting the outstanding service provided by the three young male staff members managing the premium lounge on Level 8.nnFrom the moment I stepped into the premium lounge, their attentiveness and dedication to customer service were immediately apparent. Their warm greetings and genuine enthusiasm set a positive tone for the entire journey. Throughout the trip, they went above and beyond to ensure that every passenger in the premium lounge felt not only comfortable but also valued.nnWhat stood out the most was their proactive approach to anticipating passenger needs. Whether it was offering refreshments, providing information about the journey, or simply checking in to ensure everyone was content, they demonstrated a level of professionalism and courtesy that exceeded my expectations. Brilliant service and an excellent way to enjoy the trip across the straight while taking in some of NZ's best scenery. Booking the plus lounge is worth every dollar.
It is pricy but on a good day you get spectacular views on the sands. People and staff was friendly and professional. You wait a little between check-in and being loaded on the ship. Don’t come too early, if you are there by check-in time or a little before it is absolutely fine.nnRelax and enjoy. I was surprised that prices for e.g. coffee on board were rather reasonable.nnFerry was on time and everything went smooth - we can recommend it.
Incredible staff and facilities in the premiere lounge. What wonderful hospitality and a service that we as New Zealanders can be very proud of
