Wellington Combined Taxis

Always reliable. My preferred taxi service for many years. Drivers are consistently polite, and know the area well. Vehicles are clean and comfortable. Not the lowest fares - I'm comfortable with that get what you pay for. Good tech supports today's traveller.

At 11:50 am I asked a Combined Taxi driver to move his taxi and not to park in the motorcycle parking on College St, out side Cafe Laffare. My request was answered with a bararge of negative, vulgar and abusive language from the driver , who even approached me in a threatening manner. I remained in my vehicle and continued to ask him to move on several times and eventually he did. So much for Combined Taxes Professional Driver's, no manners, unreasonable , not safety concerned . More like lazy, arrogant, abusive and aggressive. I don't recommend this Taxi Company and suggest they put more effort into their driver training and coustomer service. Very Poor indeed. I wonder how Taxi drivers like other driver's using Taxi stands for parking . Maybe we should all start doing that and see what sort of response we get . I guarantee it won't be very nice. Combined Taxes Failure.

Very professional and friendly staff. I left my laptop in the taxi after a ride to Wellington airport. I immediately got hold of the supervisor, Thomas. He was friendly, empathetic and helpful. He managed to track the driver down with very little information and get the laptop back to me just before my flight left the airport. I will be sure to use this company again and thanks again.

Used this firm on several occasions while we attended WOW Wellington. The drivers were prompt, courteous, engaging, very professional and exceptionally good value. Driving was unhurried and comfortable. I would highly recommend them each and every time.

So much for trying to support these guys in the face of competition from ride sharing services - I will never use Wellington Combined again. I booked a pick-up 90 minutes before I needed a cab confirmed by an operator, not an automated system. I expected to go outside and find them waiting but they never arrived. Two phone calls and 20 minutes after the scheduled pickup, I was told they were still looking for a vehicle for me. My situation was made ten times worse by the fact that they never rang to let me know. I get that it was a busy time of day, but if they had at least told me they were struggling, I could have made alternative arrangements and got to my important job on time. As it was, I eventually secured an Uber and arrived at my client’s premises very late and hugely stressed. Rocket science: if a customer makes the effort to book with you in advance, and you accept that booking, then you then have a mutually agreed arrangement. You should ensure a cab turns up even if there are more lucrative rides out there. If you can no longer meet your obligations, then you TELL YOUR CUSTOMER. You give them the chance to fix their situation before it is too late. I emailed to give them a chance to explain - it’s been two weeks and guess what, no response at all. I see from a quick glance through the recent reviews that others have had the same experience. This morning I was at a taxi stand that had only Combined taxis waiting and I called an Uber.

We were scammed by our driver taxi #380 — definitely avoid if possible! We got into one of these taxis at the Wellington Airport. Instead of driving into central Wellington along the SH1, the driver deliberately took us around the entire bay before finally heading toward our hotel in the town center. When we confronted him about taking a longer route, he refused to take responsibility, saying we didn’t request the direct route to our hotel. What’s worse, he didn’t even log the ride — the receipt shows the same start and end times, meaning he made up our fare. If you don’t wish to be conned, definitely don’t get into one of these taxis at the airport!

Heya, here to share my worst experience today with Wellington Combine Taxi! We wanted to support local business by choosing your taxi rather than other ride services. And that was a bad idea, at least for today! The driver didn’t help us with opening the boot which is fine. We sorted out our luggages with two kids next to us after a long day trip. When we entered the car, instead of greeting the customer, he said: you closed the boot too heavily, this is a new car. I was like what did you just say? And he repeated. This is extremely rude and disrespectful! Please contact me for the driver details! Look after your customer and you need to talk to this driver about his attitude. If he doesn’t like his job, he shouldn’t be doing it.

Beware ! I catch a taxi from the airport everyweek and back .Tonight the taxi driver tried to take the longest way to the hotel...saying the water front way was congested with traffic! Total opposite....he then took the longest way driving ride around the city to come back around to the hotel I was staying in...He then added another fee to the fair when arriving at the hotel . normally fee is $34 this cost me $54 tonight ...total con man! Extremely rude also!

Was double charged for a ride. Made a complaint the next day which I was told would be followed up on....nothing, call again, told the same thing....nothing, call again, unable to reach the right team. Leave a voicemail which is never responded too. Have called a couple times since with no response. They hope you'll just forget about it, which I almost did. Terrible company, it's no wonder Uber will put them out of business.

Called for a taxi as have done many times through the automated system. Waited 20 mins then called to ask how long it would be. Was told there were no cars available in Khandallah. Was not going to let me know. Was happy for me to wait for nothing. Have always used this taxi service. Will never again. Uber is now our friend.
