I found a gorgeous coast gull that had been badly injured by a car so managed to get her to the bird rehab centre and Craig was just amazing. He took us and Penny the gull inside and treated her straight away. He was so professional and gentle with her, he knew what was wrong straight away and how he could help. We got to look around the hospital, say hi to the birds and learn all about the place and the story of how he decided to open it. Just incredible! I’m so thankful Craig was able to help Penny. What an incredible guy. Thank you Craig!
The staff at WBRT are very committed and dedicated to the birds in their care. They are awesome. If you ever have a bird in need of care, please contact them for their advice.
The Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Trust are based in Ohariu Valley and provide a vital free service looking after injured wild birds. They are a charity run by volunteers. Their wildlife hospital is very impressive and well run. I was very pleased by their high level of care and felt confident that the injured duck I brought them was in good hands. I did not hestitate to make a donation to such a worthy operation.
Well maintained and excellent birdlife but could do with trimming of bush obscuring views especially at hides
So thankful for keeping the baby nun pigeon for a couple of days and then showing me how to feed it, I've reintroduce it to its mother and all is going well.
