We book a table for 6 and the lady on the phone was friendly and accomodating. Our orders came out all together, which is nice to see. The portions were good, staff professional. We had a good evening and the only downside in my opinion is that is a bit pricey for a pub setting. Thanks
Good weather makes all the difference we were lucky to sit outside in the sun whilst having a drink and a meal. Both sets of staff were extremely efficient. The catering staff took our order and we were soon able to tuck into some really nice food. On completion of our meal and soon after we left our seats the unpaid white feather staff were very good at clearing up the table left overs. Joking apart, we had a very nice meal and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm returning back to the UK I would come back again. Walkability: Close to a nice river walk along the banks of the Mahurangi River
We booked 2 rooms. 1 x queen, 1 x family unit and both were very spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beds are so good and comfortable. I have only given 4 stars for service because we never got to dine in at the restaurant, in saying that, it was good Friday so totally understandable. We have eaten at this restaurant before and the food is yummy. It is the reason why we stopped here for the night rather than traveling straight to Auckland. This place is great for a stopover stay. The staff did apologize for the restaurant, like I said it was completely understandable. There were some other food options available close by so it's not like we were left to starve. Warkworth itself is a lovely community. Love the little riverside walkway, and the locals are very friendly.
All in all we had a lovely stay here. The room was light and airy and spotlessly clean. Serviced daily thank you to the kind ladies who clean the rooms. The restaurant staff were great and so very helpful and the food was good Would definitely stay here again. Everything was great Food & drinks: Good variety. The lamb was great
Best place! We were here for dinner and a couple of drinks. Dinner was delicious and tasted amazing, also have to add our server Paige was lovely! She was well mannered and very attentive. Great place and recommendRooms: 5/5
Low price, room was very nice. Comfy bed, love the floor to ceiling curtains. Shower is good. Tidy and clean. Maybe just repaint side tables beside bed and feed the elephants upstairs. Overall pretty impressed. Good bar / resturant in building. Food delish!
Really nice bar ... good atmosphere.. tasty food... good price/performance relation... clean room and comfy bed - and what matters the most really friendly and helpful staff... i would definitely recommend this place - thumb up
We stayed here on our first night after arriving in NZ. It was..... Perfect! We had dinner in the restaurant. The staff were amazing and the restaurant perfect for a nice peaceful meal when it was raining outside. The rooms were clean, warm. The best bed I have experienced in NZ! Highly recommended!!!Rooms: 4/5
I have been here multiple times and normally love it but we went here twice recently and first time they forgot our meal - they were very lovely about trying to make up for it but unfortunately we had lots of travelling to go so it was a big bummer after a long day. Initially I dismissed this because we have had great service but went again on the W/E and the service really lacked. No one came to us for orders, it was a lot of ‘let’s get up and get a waiter for food and drinks’ on multiple occasions and then clearing away was really slack. I even waved down someone who looked at me and then kept doing what they were doing. My meal was also pretty average and it was most expensive on the list. It’s such a big shame because we often stopped here on our way back home from Auckland but I doubt we will be back again. I hope the service improves and maybe a bit of change to the menu and we’ll likely be back. Food & drinks: As above.
Lots of bridge, lots of house. Pretty choice spot with a really good looking menu. Staff are pretty cool cats It was a rainy day so the fireplace was a vibe in and of itself. If I lived out those ways I'd certainly be more of a regular around the joint.Food: 5/5
