This place was such an unexpected blessing. I needed urgent accommodation after a mechanical breakdown left me stranded. I also had a tight budget. I phoned Warkworth Lodge while I was waiting for a tow-truck. They had a small room that would fit my budget. It was a small room with a shared bathroom. Perfectly acceptable for the price point. The livingroom, kitchen, pool etc were amazing. I would have expected to pay more for that lavish lifestyle. But wait, there's more - I had to stay for a second night. The small room I was in was already booked, so they upgraded me into a very nice room with en-suite and TV - and they let me pay the low price of the smaller room. This was amazing. I went from being stuck on the side of the road, to being in a lovely, stress free environment.
We had a disaster with Camplify and needed a room very last minute. I rang this lodge late at night and not only did they give us an amazing room but Michelle was so hospitable to stay up for our very late arrival and she made us feel more than welcome. I highly recommend this place and it is so beautiful, clean and tidy. Thanks so much Michelle
Pluses: location, good wifi, good lighting, clean.nnCons: no fridge in room, no soundproofing very old building.nnAnd the main reason I would not recommend it, nor stay there again? Being kept awake all night by a low battery smoke detector.nnAnd no refund received.
Beautiful cozy colonial style hotel. We had the family suite with our two young boys. Cozy room although spent most of the time in the lovely shared lounge, living & shared kitchen. The boys were in and out of the spa pool & pool. Michell & the other staff were super welcoming & helpful. Will definitely come back!
Stumbled across this most beautiful hotel accidentally on my way south. It has everything you could want and more! Lovely large but homely kitchen and living room spaces with very comfortable sofas, also pleasantly surprised to find they had a swimming pool and hot tub!! Super lovely staff and nice bed and toilet /shower with toiletries provided.
