There's a huge wow factor on the top deck balcony. An amazing view of the water and area. You do have to mind the trains though, which do roll through occasionally.nnThe hostel sits in a 100 year modernized building with AC, modern kitchens, and bathrooms. Super clean, strict check-ins at 2PM guarantee there's time to for the cleaners to come through, they do a great job.nnI highly recommend this hostel
Unfortunately, this hostel has set such a high standard that all the others in the cbd are, quite frankly, deplorable.nI've stayed here several times now and the owner is still doing bits and pieces around the place to improve the guest experience...this is over 4 years or so!nAs for the hostel, clean, great laundry facilities , well equipped clean! kitchens. Staff are great...and the sunrises from the top deck?...you gotta see them for yourself!
I really enjoyed my stay at Wunderlust Hostel. The staff were really nice and there was a great sociable atmosphere, especially on the top floor balcony. People staying there were really friendly. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm which was a bit narrow but the beds were comfy and it was quiet. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean, although there weren't enough pots/pans to use in the kitchen. Overall I'd recommend you stay here!
Amazing location, clean rooms and beds, great living areas and loved the deck overlooking the Strand. 4 bed female dorm with bathroom was honestly ideal! Loved meeting other travellers. The only thing was the cash bond required for the room key - didn’t have cash on hand but understand refunding cards can be annoying. Loved the marine artwork inside!! And thanks for letting me keep my bags there for the day. Awesome and would totally recommend if you’re wanting affordable accom in a central location!
I stayed two weeks at Wanderlust NZ in Tauranga.nIt's a really nice hostel. It's very clean. The cleaners are cleaning the rooms and the shared bathroom and kitchen everyday. Both cleaners I met were very kind.nJulie one of the receptionists did a great job by welcoming me and supporting me in my different requests. She is very kind and I'm glad I met her.nThe night gardian is also really nice and gave me some tips for my trip. Thanks again !nThanks to all the staff ! I really enjoyed my stay at Wanderlust.
