Just been hung up on by a very rude and dismissive woman called Emily. I was asking why when I got told that someone would ring me back shortly about getting an urgent appointment and I hadn't heard anything for 36 hours.I have been a patient at Wanaka medical center for nearly 30 years and the service has got progressively worse,service, wait times etc.I got rudely told that they have 12000 patients.While I realize that everyone is busy I don't think that a medical practice should take on so many patients that they can't provide professional and timely medical care.
Wanaka medical were incredibly supportive and considerate. I am attending a wedding tomorrow as a maid of honour and unfortunately fell unwell this morning. They prioritised fitting me in to get me on the road to recovery sooner. Incredibly grateful before such an important event. Thank you!
Wanaka Medical Centre seems determined to strip the 'care' out of healthcare. Every visit feels like rolling the dice on which doctor I'll see—never the same one twice, as the last one is always unavailable. Today, I waited 20 minutes beyond my appointment time, and this is becoming a frustrating pattern. To make matters worse, they've now installed a massive touchscreen to greet and sign you in, as if further removing human interaction is an improvement. It's cold, impersonal, and completely unnecessary. Healthcare should be about connection, not automation. I'm deeply disappointed with the direction this place is heading.
I've been a patient here for years, and I'm always grateful for the incredible care provided by the doctors, and the compassion shown by the nurses. Thank you so much for making each visit a positive experience
i called and got a nurse coming back to me within 10 minutes. I got an appointment straight away, the nurses were super friendly and helpfull. Almost no wait , i felt very well taken care off.nthe doctor was amazing as well as every nurse. Thanks team!
