We are definitely happy we chose to stay here for our trip to Waitomo. The owner is lovely, took us around to see all the animals including ostriches and emus. My daughter got to spend some time with a litter of cute kittens too. The place is an old farm style setting which we loved because it feels like home to us, but very clean and tidy.
Stopped here on a whim on the way back from the Caves and was not disappointed! The lovely owner spent an hour showing us new puppies, llamas, alpacas, sheep, ponies and a goat along with a couple of emus and an ostrich. It was only $6pp to hand feed them in the paddock. Well worth it and so glad we pulled in.
Good view and enjoy the farm, but old equipment and furnitures cause over price, and so hot in the room that can not sleep. Also, very be sure whether you have allergies before going to the farmland, because one of us has eye allergies for a week.
Amazing farm. Hope more people can know this secret spot. Great chance for young kids to learn animals and enjoy interacting with real animals! I can’t imagine how they can manage such many kinds of animals. It’s like a mini zoo.
Amazing!! Anne is such a beautiful lady. Helpful, chatty and very pleasant. The farm had plenty of friendly animals to keep us occupied for hours. We got to experience holding a tortoise, feeding emu and being up close to many new species. The best thing is the value for money. It makes this an affordable activity for all families. I highly recommend!
If you want the true old school kiwi experience then stay here. The accommodation is classic but clean and comfortable, the bed was awesome. The highlight are the animals! Make sure you're there for the daily tour. Lots of llamas, donkeys, ostriches, a kune kune pig and various cows, goats and sheep, plus the dogs and cats and Guinea pigs. Breakfast was provided and was classic and yum. Highly recommended!!
Wonderful hosts. Very cool place for families to visit. This is a farm. Cool furry friends. Good proximity to caves/walks etcRooms: 3/5
If your reading this and love animals , you need to stay here! Anne was a great host. I cannot help but say this was our best stay in New Zealand. We got to see all the animals, Anne took us on a personal tour and we got to feed some of the animals. She runs a minute farm and has a wide selection of cute animals that will melt your heart! They recently got a new puppy and the small kittens were too adorable. Breakfast was great and we got to try ostrich egg omelet for an extra 5 dollars. I would high recommend this place as an experience to remember in NZ.
Great collection of miniature animals. Opportunity to get close to animals in the farm. Emu, bulls, sheeps, ostrich and many more. Better than a zoo.Service: 5/5
Fantastic B&B. Ann and Ross were amazing hosts and the animals at the farm were super cute and a pleasure to be around. We stayed for two nights and took advantage of their families glowworm cave tour which was one of the highlights of our trip. I know - glowworms. Trust me. I highly recommend these folks for their amazing attitudes, adorable animals, fantastic recommendations and overall kindness.
