I take my hat off to Caroline the receptionist who was working today Saturday 07/01 on front desk upon main entrance. Lovely service and welcoming and also very helpful. Thank you for keeping us calm and making it a smooth entrance. I also would like to applaud Jonie the RN at Surgical ADU on ground floor who was very attentive, communication was on point, friendly and made us feel at ease during our mothers stay at hospital. Thank you for your amazing work and heart for our people! And for always keeping us in the loop on what was happening or what was about to happen next.
Midwife Abbey Payne of the birthing unit is one of the nicest people I've ever met! Going in after a nasty fall while pregnant, she was able to ease my fears with her amazing personality and caring nature. She has an amazing sense of humor and her passion for what she does shows clearly through her work. She gave a lot of helpful advice and never made me feel like any question was a silly question. Being first time parents, my partner and I have no idea what to do but she was so patient and understanding and never made me feel like we were wasting her time. She really is a lovely person to have around when going through all the anxiety and nerves of pregnancy.
Ward 14 staff are great. The most friendly and caring nursing team of senior and junior staff. They work very hard to ensure my family member's medications and feed are given ontime. What stood out was one of the nurses knew more than the doctors in terms of checking a patient's clinical signs, she is clearly an experienced, assertive, and talented registered nurse that is a huge asset to the hospital.
Admitted 27/09/2022 at 11.33am for surgery. Came without eating breakfast. Last meal I had was dinner on 26/09/2022. First night they told me at 7.50pm that there would be no surgery so I had some food my wife bought me. It is now 9.20pm 28/09/2022 and still no surgery or food. So far in 48 hours I've had one meal. People in prisons are fed and treated better
Have had reason to take my dad into shore care a few times in the last few months and I am blown away by the level of care, professionalism and general air of excellence we have experienced. Feel so grateful they are our local. A massive thank you to the amazing staff at that north shore.
I have been in a lot of Hospitals and North Shore was by far THE BEST. I was in a surgical ward and it was the cleanest I've even seen and every inch was clean not just the bits you touch. The nurses were fabulous they were actually happy and friendly and focused on their patients, NOT standing round gossiping, they had the quietest handovers and were considerate of patients trying to sleep. Food was great and came at decent times and they had tvs above the bed with headphones which kept rooms so quiet. Found everything to be smooth and ran like clock work, fabulous if I have to go back I'm glad it will be The North Shore. They really are putting the other hospital's to shame. Amazing work in trying times.
I was with my wife at the ED today. The staff are amazing and we were well taken care of. Dr Mike kept us informed all the way along. Nurses, reception, all of you are wonderful and we appreciate your care. Thanks David
After having a mini strike was looked after incredibly well from ALL medical staff, from the reception until eventual discharge. Very humbled and thankful. So much respect for nurses and doctors at NSH.
Turned up for my 8am appointment today, after rushing around & getting up at 5am, Took day off Got here just before 7am to do the RAT test & nurses check. & then apparently im not booked in, someone had possibly removed my appointment, They had system issues day before that may have contributed to me getting removed I had spoken to nurse only 4 weeks prior to appointment so was definitely told it was booked in before heading here. What a waste of time.
just been discharged, had two nights in Surgical ED, staff, Dani, Laura, Tinish, Anju nurses so lovely and caring- wholesome! Tess ED Nurse and Dr Hayley again just awesome. 5 out of 5. Just really compassionate
