My partner and I went to the little community market that is held behind the waitangirua shops every Saturdays. : Great music, friendly community, although limited a good selection of food, fruit and veges, clothing stalls etc options to choose from. :

Saturday mornings are the go. The market is at the back.nnThe Mall has the usual shops.... a four square type shop, fish and chip store, bottle store, hairdresser, bakeries.
Lovely Farmers Market
The mall itself is not well cared for but does support some businesses & local church groups are also represented, Oasis for example to help with WINZ etc, definitely not five star, but if you are hungry or need a hair cut etc you will find a business for that.
