Waitakaruru Arboretum and Sculpture Park

An absolutely amazing destination for the Leave, tranquillity and stunning plants and trees. Steep steps to climb initially, but smooth walking thereafter. The landscaping is wonderful and it was a pleasure to stroll through the venue.

Beautiful tranquil setting, fantastic during any season. Perfect balance of nature and art. The history and transformation of a old quarry, to what it is now is another reason to visit. Visit the website before visiting.

Loved the afternoon we spent at this lovely park. Pack a picnic or buy something from their yummy cafe.

Great place for a picnic then have a stroll exploring the converted quarry into theSculpture park. Plenty is Sculptures to find and see and things to do. Also eat some lovely plums as you stroll along.

The money from a visit is put towards the restoration. It's a lovely walk and some of the sculptures are awesome. The owners and their knowledge made the day

Nice garden for a day trip from Auckland. Perfect for family with children, and couples too.

Really enjoyed this track, lots of things to look at. Not stroller friendly which is fine just as a heads up as there are lots of stairs.
