Wairakei Terraces

It's a short easy walk, the terraces are still growing using the leaf litter as a base substrate to cling to. Very impressive geyser but hidden within the steam. Polarizing glasses definitely help to see it

Awesome natural, thermal hot pools, in such a beautiful setting. Really nice that it's an adults only place too.

4 pools. 1 really hot, 2 warm ones, 1 on the cooler side. lots of people this time of the year, can get crowded. Only 1 shower, though according to the facility, it is best not to wash the silica after soaking in their pools. Lockers available for $5. Bring your own towels and swimwear.

I love the terraces. Wonderful hosts. It is peaceful lots to see. Pools are amazing. Cafe is fantastic with great service

One of my favourite hot springs to visit. We grabbed a coupon for $15 each, stays open until 9pm with 4 different pools in its natural beauty. Favorite is sitting under the waterfall getting a massage by the water with hot steaming mineral waters. Skin feels nourished.

Amazing place. Very happy we have purchased not just pools but a walk around also. It's a very beautiful place and we have a very pleasant walk. Remember to take a bottle of water for swim in a pools there are 3 of them so you would be able to spend more time and don't get dehydrated, it worth it!

Great public hot pools, fabulous facilities very clean. The pools are adults only. Beautiful bush surrounding the pools makes it the perfect outdoors feel. hot pools of varying temperatures and the place was not crowded but we did go during the week. Highly recommend this place
