We provide specialist medical and nursing care and support services to patients living with an illness for which cure is no longer an option.

Story

Waipuna Hospice is situated alongside the Wairoa river in Te Puna, just outside of Tauranga. We have a short stay Inpatient Unit and also care for patients living in their own homes in an area that extends from Waihi Beach to Pukehina. Our Day Services Clinic enables newly referred and the more active patients to come to Waipuna for assessment, treatment and consultations.
Our services include family support, education, equipment loan, therapeutic massage, a biography service and a Day Programme. This is all provided at no cost to patients - which is why we rely on our community to help us raise the $2.5 million we need this year to meet the shortfall not covered by government funding.
You can help us by attending our events, purchasing merchandise, supporting our Hospice Shops as customers or donors of goods, volunteering...lots of ways!
