An elevated site with spectacular views over Lake Taupo. Mature bush reserve with diverse plantings of native and exotic trees and shrubs.A looped one way road through the reserve has many places to stop and enjoy the natural peaceful environment. Ther are open spaces with tree surroundings great for bush walks picnics and playing games .nA Taupo gem!
Another fantastic hidden gem. It's different because you can hike or drive your way around. Clean and welcoming. Many tranquil resting areas. Bring a picnic and a blanket. Great lake views. Free entry . Donations welcomed.
Beautiful respite in the middle of a neighborhood. It's a little odd to find a place like this in the middle of a neighborhood, but it was beautiful and free although donations are appreciated. I really enjoyed running and hiking the trails.
Keep up the great work volunteers! Popped in an an unplanned road stop and didn’t regret it. Quaint reserve with room for a picnic or leisurely walk or longer if you’re up for it!. Donated on the way out because this place deserves every dollar.
Great place for birding. You can walk or drive through the reserve.
