Very cool! Nice warm water coming down that mixes with the cold river. In the warm areas there is a lot of algae and cyanobacteria, so keep your head above the water, but it is very fun and beautiful!nnIt's about a 5-10 minute walk from the car park.nnThe river is fast, so be careful not to get in the river too far
Nice little spot. I could get to the small shallow pool but I should have swum from the beach to the left rather than climbing over rocks to get to the waterfall which was Luke warm. Temp varies depending on when the spillway gates open up river. Excellent toilets and change rooms.
Make sure to drive inside and park at the carpark that is farthest away from the road. Otherwise you will have a long walk. Water was a little on the cold side. Frisbee golf also available.
Spa Thermal Park is a great spot to experience a natural hot spring. It takes about 10 minutes to walk there from the parking area. Once you arrive, you’ll find clean public restrooms and a café, which is convenient.nnThe natural hot spring is amazing—many people were already enjoying the warm water in their swimsuits when we got there. The water in the stream is pleasantly warm, similar to what I experienced in Rotorua.nnWhat’s fascinating is the contrast between the warm spring water and the cold water of the larger river below. It’s a unique and breathtaking experience. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking a relaxing soak!
Beautiful park to walk around, play Frisbee and to go in the hot springs/water. Very well kept and clean.nThere's also plenty of places to park
